Just for info - I received a response telling me the facts that I knew ie my 7am request was after the run on Friday and was done this morning - not helpful, no apology for confused messages, not acting on request, or replying even to my second email that day. Clearly they have already reneged on the 8am cut off....... Below is my reply for interest Thanks Paul. I was rushing to get on a plane having just sold 15K of loans and the confirmation email had not arrived to check, and obviously I thought it had been correctly completed - just one digit pressed did not register. On the forum, today, someone has posted a reply from you saying that requests before 8 am would be processed - that certainly did not happen as both my request and email were well before that time. I accept that I asked for an exception - however it is a small deal, was genuinely urgent, the message taker on the phone was worse than useless, and even after my second email, it was not actioned. I don't feel it is a lot to ask from a company/platform the size of SS, which has trumpeted its new customer service team, and made a commitment to better communication. You say you were not able to process my request until this morning's run - whilst that is what happened, I am sure that SS were ABLE to do so in an era of electronic banking and it would only have taken a couple of minutes of someone's time. I feel that this has been very poorly handled - it probably took them longer to write the emails than do the transfer. I am not sure that stating "We would advise all investors to check that all withdrawal request forms are completed correctly before submission to avoid last minute delays to payments. " is helpful in that it is unlikely that anyone intentionally submits an erroneous request. Copy of the reply i received. No acknowledgement they screwed up and we will pay the money into my bank account today. George (Saving Stream) Jan 23, 15:16 GMT Hi David, Thank you for your email. I have informed our accounts team to process this for you, and they will act upon this request as soon as they can. We thank you for your patience in the meantime. Kind regards, Customer Services Team Saving Stream

I think you need to made the withdrawal request before 6am to be absolutely sure to get the cash in your account same day - they have done rec's as early as 6:10am in the past.......

Or, if you want to be completely certain, make it the evening before (and accept 1 day less interest) Never......that would be far too sensible! Even for the chunky £15k withdrawal discussed above, the extra day amounts to less than £5. Where one's need for the cash is "genuinely urgent", why take the risk for such a pittance? And how much time and effort was then expended trying to rescue the situation? I'd rather SS were left to focus on more important matters!

Too many people treating SS as a high interest instant access bank account.

Which is (one of the reasons) why MoneyThing won this year's P2P 'best platform' poll on this very forum (and some others didn't). 8>.

Has anyone had payment out today I'm still waiting on payments from yesterday, just checked again if nothing has arrived at the bank. That was early yesterday, I made the withdrawal request. Just isn't like others MT requests seem to take no time to get processed.

Do people really live that close to the wire that a one day delay makes a difference? I mean surely you won't invest the all the money that you need to pay the bills and keep no buffer at all. Seems like madness to me.

Seems like madness to me. I think people naturally get the jitters if they expect some money to arrive in a specific time frame and it doesn't. I think back to when I got out of my Icelandic savings accounts just in time but had to wait for several nerve jangling days for the money to arrive... even though it wasn't essential to my short term survival.
The jitters arrive whether or not you need the money - although they may be worse if you do.
