Have to put my hands up to some of the midnight purchases (sorry) , I live overseas so was 7am for me. I purchased 10k across 4 loans however I also put 10k up for sale (just trying to spread)
Having said that, I tend to look at around the same time each morning and this morning seemed particularly busy. What I put up for sale went within a few hours.

Has anyone else noticed that the SM (what there is of it ) is being completely jammed by one individual gaming the system, don't get me wrong I am all for gaming the system but when one person does it to excess to the detriment of other investor opportunities it ticks me off ! PBL51, 9 bids all the same by the same person s************r means its so in negative it could be weeks before the excess is covered and there are others. I guess I should not blame the person rather SS for allowing it. For the record I was in favour of the negative balances, I am now beginning to change my mind. Sorry to rant on just a moan on such a slow day !

Perhaps it is not that much of a good idea that the username of the investers is hidden. It might be a bot called "silurian_vader" that bids too fast for the system.

Also PBL39. Both in last 2hrs I suspect as overfunding has jumped 6k in that time. Previously PBL18 is. showing couple duplicates on 6/11 for that user. savingstream you might want to take a look - could be a glitch but whatever someone is potentially gaining interest they would appear not to be entitled to.

Assuming that this isn't a system glitch..........There is gaming the system and Taking the P**S !! As you say, damage to SS is also damage to all SS investors. I would hope that SS administration do not pay this particular investor the extra interest that they clearly are not entitled to and that they are prevented from this sort of practice again.

This individual has done the same thing on PBL 17, PBL 18 and PBL 39 as well as PPBL 51. Although I haven't seen this particular pattern before, I have seen SS reverse out over purchases in the past, so I think they make a judgement call sometimes. Let's hope they do so in this case, and that the new system puts a stop to any possibility of gamers or bots, although perhaps I should admit to being the (minor) beneficiary of the 'normally' operating over purchasing glitch in the past.

If this situation has been caused by an over efficient bot, is this not a reason why bots should be totally banned from the site?
And anyone found using them also banned from receiving any interest accrued and their accounts terminated.
It is one thing, where two people try to get a piece of a loan at the same time, and you get a small negative balance for a while. It is another where someone can manage to get TEN identical pieces of a loan part that simply does not exist.

I do not think that this was a normal bot. This looks like someone intentionally creating an amount for sale . Opening the opportunity in a number of tabs / windows / browsers and buying multiple times. If a bot was used it was created with this specific principle in mind.
