Honest, Guv. Firefox 42.0 on Mac OSX 10.11.1. I see them. One click on the loan within half a second to see what's available, and whatever was there has been sold, 95+% of the time. I've got nothing since the day before yesterday (apart from the penny on the ghost-boat). That's the way it goes! I got lucky on a few quid. I see that if you get pipped (if! ) by somebody who is only buying a part of the part, Saving Stream now give you the leftovers. Hence I now own an extra £2 slice of one multi-million loan, and a 25p slice of another....

uncletone That's what I am trying to make MT do, you may recall! PS Don't try to sell me that £2 .... I'll never succeed in buying it.

I wonder if it takes a different time for info to reach broadband computers in Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bradford, Nether Wallop or Peckham ... and lenders in Peckham always get the first chance to respond, while those in Llareggub or Wolverhampton are five seconds late so get nothing. I have no idea, but if that's the case, us folks overseas are stuffed.;-)

The bots must be away for a cuppa. About a grand of 4b took 3 or 4 minutes to sell.

Just a thought but, I have fibre broadband and I live in London. Is it possible that the SM works better on faster connections? Quite likely - I've been thinking for a couple of days that it's perhaps being slow to auto-load available stuff for me (6mbps if I'm lucky)....and that if it seems to be going inhumanly fast maybe it's just slow to tell me about it in the first place.

I've had a couple of spells at the PC today (late morning and about 5pm) and have managed to pick a couple of £K's in loans from the SM. OK a lot disappeared before I had clicked into the loan but I still managed to top up on the loans I wanted to - I watched about 50% simply sell since they were not on my 'want list'.
£1.79 was the smallest and £200 was the largest so I had a fair number of hits.
I'm too tight to buy the fastest internet connection available here (and fibre has but one use - something your doctor encourages you to eat) so I was reduced to watching for a slight flicker on the top of my browser as something happened ......

It is our opinion that the ability to diversify your portfolio through the purchase of loan parts that become available on the secondary market is of secondary importance to that of having a liquid mechanism with which to divest oneself quickly if necessary. At the moment demand is outstripping supply. It is as simple as that. Yes I agree. It has taken me 12 months to diversify sufficiently on SS and I am ok with that (occasionally through SM, but mostly through new loans). I for one think of SM as a way of divesting/de-risking my SS portfolio. SS, please do not make SM overly complicated like at AC (although I can see a value in ability to sell at a discount some day in the future when liquidity isn't as abundant).

just took some of the MT loan instead of fannying around on the sm or gaming the pipeline. Works great for sellers as long as there are buyers and their bots playing ball

Down in the Mid Devon metropolis where I live we have superfast broadband, and even 38MB doesn't get you diddly squat on the SM. Mind you the version of windows 3.1 I'm running might not be helping. Either way I don't have the time to spend hours sat in front of the screen for virtually no reward. Think I'll stick to pre-funding and the pub.

Can't think why anyone's buying it! If you want loan parts, there is no time to be picky. People are just buying anything and if they later don't like the look of it, they just dump it back on the market. Honestly, all this scrambling for loan parts will look very silly when a couple of the biggies get released soon.

I'm selling few loans now on SM. Enjoy...
Edit: all gone by the time I finished listing them. That is what I call liquid market. No fuss, free, no premium/discounts. Just works.

I put £1000 up for sale in the early hours of this morning in £100 lots. Each one sold before I could refresh the screen. Yep, there's bots out there.

£9000 just popped up on PBL068. I'm bound to be able to get £200 of that, I thought to myself.
Not a chance, sat looking at the off-centre spinner for minutes and then told I was too slow.
Tried several times on various other loans and I've not managed to buy a thing, really bad experience. Waste of my time.
