I made a deposit this morning to clear my negative balance. Nothing showing yet. It was around 11 I think. I didn't expect it to be credited today as I'd missed the 9am run.

Re. ...lengthy but vacuous emails...
When there is something which urgently needs saying, "creative" writing is the last thing investors want. (Especially content-challenged emails which are basically stuffed with bul***** padding.)
Advice? Stop trying to be "matey" (you're no Richard Branson) and provide investors with rapid and relevant replies.

Hi all,
May I first apologise for not replying sooner. I didn't want to comment until we had undertaken a thorough investigation into the issue. We have now though traced the missing transactions to our banking provider and we are working with them to find a solution. I am very sorry about the inconvenience. Please be assured we are doing all we can to correct the issue as soon as is reasonably possible.
Paul

But surely you realise that had you said immediately that you were undertaking a "thorough Investigation" into what you have accepted as a problem would have taken a massive amount of the sting out of this?

Hi there, the extent of the issue was not initially clear, but you are right, a more speedy response from us might have been helpful. Paul

Paul, this is completely unacceptable! I have lost all faith in SS. I transferred a 4 figure sum yesterday and I'm still waiting for it to be credited to my account to clear of my pre-funding but also to allow me to make purchases on the SM. I have emailed SS 4 times to be fobbed off with 'it must be an error by me..it's not SS's fault' (paraphrasing). Due to the ineptitude of SS I wish to cancel my purchases on prebidding and have my funds returned (if you ever recover them). Can you confirm how I go about cancelling my pre-bid offers?

Hmm. I phoned for second time just now and I get the distinct impression that the people on the phone are taking names, apologising, saying goodbye and throwing the name away. At least the didn't give out the support email of 'info@lendymarine.com' this time (it bounces). clueless. (Edit: Just to be clear, my complaint isn't that our four credits sent on Wednesday haven't appeared - they have, it's more that one went one went to my wife's account instead of mine to be joined by a fifth credit from I don't know where. She want's to buy stuff but I'm telling her it's not her cash! And mine is still negative) Paul64 savingstream, updates and general restlessness aside, this info has the scariest implications (sounds like credits are going astray). Can you investigate and give an official response please.

I too made sizeable deposits over 24 hours ago, and they have not yet been credited to my account - and the exact same scenario for my wife too, and quite a number on this board. Not good at all , but at least Paul64 has now claimed ownership of the issue, and to be fair , they are now working with their bank to sort out the problem asap. I have to agree it's so frustrating, especially with nice stuff on the SM, but hopefully we'll get our funds credited soon.

Why do I keep getting the impression that there is a lot of incompetence pervading Brankesmere House?
No need to reply... the answer is obvious.

The claimed situation on the website is "Unallocated investor funds are held by us in trust on your behalf in a segregated client bank account so that it does not form part of our assets and would not be available to creditors in the event of our insolvency." However that raises the question of the status of funds that have been deposited but not yet credited to your account doesn't it? Could they technically not yet be 'unallocated investor funds'? In addition, they often use the excuse of doing the 'processing run'. Not clear that that excuse holds much water when some payments have been processed, some not. Having a batch run would lead to all or none of the payments being credited, not a mish mash between the two. Bad smell around SS towers. No, client money is client money and its in a separate client account. SS have been very clear they abide by CM rules. It will be a 'pooled account' so the banking run is designating ownership of the funds to specific SS accounts. God knows how many transactions they are having to reconcile to cover the potential sums of money coming in. So what happens if the 'pooled account' does not have sufficient funds in it to allocate all client money to the relevant client account, due to operation of the pooled account commingling prior to allocation to the client account meaning deficits are temporarily covered by the pooled account?

The guys on the phone are just a call centre, who know nothing about SS at all and won't be able to answer your questions. Their sole function is to forward issues on to SS. So I wouldn't worry about any credits getting "lost" or sinister stuff like that - it's just that the guys on the phone are no more than phone-jockeys.
