Hi all, I am running with both zero loans + zero funds on my SS account. I logged on this evening for the first time in days to find that Pre-funding had been applied to the two current Pipeline loans, same £amount for each. Pre-fund has now been manually zeroed for both. Pre-fund setting IS the preserve of ourselves as Investors so why has this Ghost pre-funding occurred, has it happened to anyone else And are savingstream aware? Might it be a good idea guys to double/tripple check that your own pre-fund settings are accurate, whilst SS can establish cause? Erm, p2pindependentforum.com/post/177464/thread

Thank you ilmoro , begs the question, what are SS intending to do about this issue? my hands are off, Pre-fund settings are the preserve of the Investor, not the preserve of some systems glitch Or the right of SS to preside over in a quasi god like role. A very good question. I was dumped into a loan that I didnt want and their support is so slow to respond that one is on ones own. When they do respond they answered the wrong questions so it will be an uphill fight to get some action. I and others have had the pipeline prefunding problems and it is starting to concern me. If this is a bit flakey then what else is ? It would be OK if you could get some timely support but its not rapid at the moment. If the glitch runs off with your cash then its going to take some time to correct it.

I recently found myself involuntarily prefunding each and every loan in the pipeline to the extent of several thousand pounds. This is an absolutely inexcusable blunder which I intend to follow up next week. If the response is not swift and effective, I am sure that other authorities will be extremely interested.

Well I hope that you are patient , I have not had much luck. It does strike me that its the sort of thing that would be quite bad for reputation and any authorities view of it (Full FCA Authorisation ). I have had equity broking accounts for many years and have never been bought into a share that I didnt do myself.

I've never had a loan pre-funded for me but I've set my pre-fund on other loans and then not got a share. Kinda opposite to what happened to you.

Ghost pre-funding is part of the rebrand to Saving Scream.

I got a four figure prefund that I did not set. In the past I recall getting no allocation for a loan I believed I prefunded. I thought it was my mistake. Now I see it was not the case.
Please get your act together Savingstream!!!

One things for sure though I'll not be carrying the can for any allocations errors arising from ghost pre-fund settings to my account, that'll be SS's problem I sincerely hope that SS are good at carrying cans. But if they dont answer the support calls or the telephone people have to email the support people then its rather pointless complaining. You will not have any cash while loans that you may like to buy are bobbing about in front of your nose. I contacted them and its took the best part of a week to get a response. The responses did not address the problem and I would have to reply again and argue with them. Some of my support calls were unanswered. By this time you have probably had to sort the problem out yourself as I did.

I thought I was going nuts when I found myself with loans I was sure I never asked for.

I think SS are on very legal dodgy ground here. Imagine someone gradually selling £15K of their loans as we approach the end of the current ISA period. Then SS invest it all in a series of **** 8% loans that can't be sold easily. A person could miss their entire year's ISA allowance. How can SS correct that?

I seem quite fortunate in only having had one hiccup with a pre-fund of 1k for the phase 2, I wondered if that had been my 'cached' funding from 1st time round.
Slightly presumptve of SS as I'll now take a much bigger slice given the prospective parcity of long 12%ers 😎 .

Thankfully I've never had this issue. Maybe because I've never used the default pre-funding feature.

Thanks for the tip, Magenta14.
We checked OH's account which has been dormant for a couple of months and lo and behold £300 automatic pre-funding had been applied.
It's never been set to pre-fund automatically!
It's going to a nuisance to have to keep checking, time to close the account me thinks.

I wonder...
Those of you who are getting this "ghost pre-fund" - do you have cash balances on your account sat idle?

Not in ours, balance £0, & no loans, has been like that since Jan '17.
Glad we checked as OH doesn't use this any more, but is waiting to see what/if the IFISA turns out to be.
