Think of a beautiful japanese decorative four letter fish, and dyslexify the inner letters. Don't be koi, say what you mean...

I was wondering what the heck the C word was. People getting upright about that, seriously? Think of a beautiful japanese decorative four letter fish, and dyslexify the inner letters. Our moderators are far too precious about moderate "bad language" these days. OK, we don't want the "hard stuff" and can do without the f and c (the other one), but the occasional mild expletive to express dissatisfaction with events should be tolerated. Signed Grumpy Jack (played cricket for Gloucestershire in the 1950s) I didn't realise you were that old OG Anyway, I see nothing wrong in the use of the word Crapp when it's a surname.

Thank goodness for those that reported and the rapid action of the saviours of our souls. Don't be Koi? I think such moderation on a site for grown ups is carp. Oh, and BOTTOM!

Well put it this way. When I was top of the class one year my Uncle Albert gave me my first bat. I chose a Denis Compton bat.

Was it apocryphal that in the 1990s the whole town (east of Doncaster) council website became disabled because a certain obscenity screening software was installed and deemed a sequence of four letters in the town's name were offensive? Quite right, Liz, he made them but didn't invent them!* www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3146106edit * but Wikipedia makes it quite clear that he knew a lot about your floating ball cock.

Thomas Crapper made toilets back in the day. That's one of the reasons the word c--p evolved to describe something of poor quality, rubbish or other meanings. In order to raise the tone of this debate another origin is from Middle English: related to Dutch krappe, from krappen ‘pluck or cut off’, and perhaps also to Old French crappe ‘siftings’, Anglo-Latin crappa ‘chaff’. The original sense was ‘chaff’, later ‘residue from rendering fat’, also ‘dregs of beer’. Current senses date from the late 19th century. I believe that Penistone has had its fair share of issues with obscenity blockers too. There are rumours of an article in a US paper about a political murder. Or, rather, a buttbuttination.

Just caught up with the thread. Wow. The mods consider that a swear word. Really ? I can see problems in the future if Lendy ever lends against a skyscraper. We won't be allowed to discuss it.
