I had a negative balance at the time that I noticed the pre fund, due to the recent tranche allocation. I can't be sure whether it was zero or negative when SS took it upon themselves to set my pre fund to £5K on each pipeline loan.

How strange that when something needs immediate response from SS, we have no indication here that anyone has received a cogent reply (or indeed any reply) about what has gone wrong.
Where is the highly paid Mr Bullspin when there is something useful which needs saying? (Oh, yes. Telling us that rates will be dropping and highlighting "our strict and very stringent due diligence processes". Read that together with the actual quality and creditworthiness of several borrowers featured in the default and overdue loans).

Yes, but a borrowers history does not matter as long as the security is good and actually is worth the valuation. Isn't it a good thing that crooks would never figure out how to manipulate a valuation. Isn't it?

Thanks for posting this, it prompted me to check mine and lo and behold the 2 pipeline loans were set to £100 prefund and the 'prefund all loans' was also set to £100. I haven't ever used this feature either, but have selected individual loans to prefund. My account balance is nil, I have 1 loan part left that is slowly moving up the queue and once that is sold all my money will be out of saving stream. If something is automatically prefunded that wasn't requested, and you don't pay (and raise a case) presumably they will just take the loan part back?

Nice try!
i am keeping some in cash for the time being, probably as with brexit i see some additional risk.
im still invested though and like saving stream!
i do not have any negative loans and am ready to sell my loans on the secondary with 90 days still left.
so im quite risk averse.

If you wanted to buy something then consider to how long complaining will take , it not been quick of late.

I have been following this discussion with interest and £90k jokes aside, I am curious and intrigued by it.
I have not been hit by this glitch up till know which, as the saying goes, is not a guarantee for the future.
I was wondering if any of the settings available on the website are correlated with this glitch. For this reason I propose this test. Can the people who are observing this glitch tell us which settings they have on their website. We might find some common features.
My settings are: Never used default prerefund Current prefunds is £0 for all loans in the pipeline Small positive balance.
Personal details No mobile phone number SEND NEW LOAN NOTIFICATIONS VIA SMS? NO Email preferences: All selected
I do not know if there are any other settings on the web. Also please note, if you do not feel happy with putting this information (or some of it) here, feel free to opt out.
EDIT: Email just came in from SS saying they have identified the problem which probably makes this exercise irrelevant at least for the present.

I wouldn't bother looking into it ... they've fixed it 😉
Dear Jester,
We have identified a technical issue regarding some investors' default prefunding. This issue may have affected individual prefunding levels in both the current pipeline loans (Beckhouse Farm & Killean Estate). The identified issue may have also affected the investment allocation in the latest live loan tranche PBL005 Tranche 8.
Because of this issue we please request that all investors take the following steps:
1. Please check your default prefunding level is correct.
2. Please check your individual loan prefunding level for both loans in the pipeline is correct.
3. If any investor has been allocated a higher investment amount than requested in the recent PBL005 Tranche 8, please contact customer services and we will be happy to reduce this for you.
We apologise for any inconvenience and can confirm this technical issue should not occur in the future.
If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us.
Kind regards,
The Saving Stream Team

I suspect right now he's busy looking through the Radio Times so he can tell us all about next week's property programmes.

I seem to have been hit by this bug too. I had the Pickering automatically pre-set to £3000, the pre-funding and scotland loans were correct at zero. Today the pre-funding(which I have never used) had rose to £3k, the scotland loan to £3k and the pickering loan was now set to £5k!
