tw** might be a fit, although a to** seems more apposite. I also noted a few weeks back that "arse" now seems acceptable. Think that was in ref to the FA Cup: "Up the Arse'. ".

Speaking of which, and getting back on topic, Lendy Cowes Week surely offers a great opportunity for Ly to synergise with their nautical themed borrowers. On the downside, not much chance of sailing a houseboat down the Thames to the Solent, but I read elsewhere that Mr PBL56/64 has his motor yacht moored at Torbay Yacht Club, watch out for a Cap'n Schettino style sail past with accompanying 'salut'

I think the post you are referring to was mine, where I used the same letters in the one post for club & manager However, I think that is a most inappropriate use of the apostrophe and am deeply unhappy........but the moderators might just give you a warning this time

What's the betting that when it does come creative-writing guru Paul will tell us all about the election, and naff all else. Perhaps Lendy will offer to hire you your very own banana boat with unlimited supplies for you & your guests!!!!!!

Despite raspberries blown already in other thread(s), this looks to me (with my old Marketing Director hat on) like a very well-targeted investment in building name recognition and brand awareness, with all sorts of opportunities for year-round PR activity too, given Lendy's local connection. Cowes Week generates huge exposure in the yachting world (globally, not just UK-wide) and you only have to look at other recent financial services title sponsors (Skandia, Aberdeen Asset Mgmt) to understand the demographic attraction, spanning both borrowers and lenders. Cowes struggled to sign up a sponsor at all last year, eventually persuading Aberdeen to continue for a further year. Given this is a "last minute" announcement by the organisers in terms of the 2017 regatta, I suspect Lendy managed to negotiate a very good price for the certainty of a 3 year deal! Question is, Paul64 , will there be fireworks this year and will there be a Lendy marquee / boat to watch them from?! Hi SteveT, now that would be telling. You'll just have to wait and see. Do drop in on us though. Would be great to meet members of the forum. Paul I am glad to read that you are going to be welcoming to members of the forum and Saving Stream lenders.

Including the yacht showing its "arse"?

I'm led to believe such companions are available for £150 an hour upwards and considering how much this man may make on the PBL 64 deal I'm sure that is small change to him, so such a possibility is not at all far-fetched.

With the boating theme, perhaps it'll be time for them to come up with some way to do loans secured on boats? (I missed all of the first batch, apart from chunks of the superyacht on the SM)
