I'll provide an update in my weekly newsletter tomorrow, but the system is running smoothly, so you should now be enjoying faster deposits. Paul Paul Can you give us some info regarding the hours that the system will be working. I think you have already stated Mon-Fri but is that office hours or a 24 hour service. I did n't see it mentioned in your weekly newsletter. Thanks

I was delighted to receive almost immediate confirmation of a deposit made at 00:45 this morning. Either someone at SS is working very late, or it's automated now.

thanks Liz,did you see the quick way Paul answered about swift withdrawals, my query regarding missing thousand pounds nothing. Nothing in my account 0915 hours so sent off another e-mail and received another automated reply ,checked my account at 1000 hours and there it was no explanation, no apology, but noticed that it had been logged into my account on the 23rd the day that it was sent. Contrast this with MT i sent money on Sunday 26th at 1200 hours being a Sunday i thought i would have to wait till Monday but checked and it was in there one hour later.

just an FYI for people. I had a deposit not appear and contacted SS. It turns out this is because I made two deposits of identical amounts on the same date, the system can't handle this so if you need to do this best to make sure the amounts aren't identical e.g. £1,000 and £1,001 rather than 2x£1,000 R

It really is time that SS sorted this out - how hard can it be ?

It crops up almost every time .. it is a known problem, as a quick flick through the forum will demonstrate. Yes, time it was fixed.

Well you say "a quick flick through the forum" , but if you were a new user here , and suddenly encountered this problem, how would you find it on the forum ? From the perspective of a new user, I wouldn't say it's that obvious - or perhaps more likely is that I don't know how top make best use of the forum myself

A search of he forum for 'deposit not credited' or similar will turn up threads/posts like p2pindependentforum.com/post/104969/thread fairly quickly. Search is up there top right, although it only searches from where you currently are, so reset to the top of the SS forum first, if that's where you want to look. Reading a lot f the forum is always a good idea before investing, although the SS one is admittedly rather over-long.

One of them took only 5 minutes to be credited. But it doesn't seem to work for withdrawals, I'm still waiting for last Friday's withdrawal to arrive...

That's impressive but it would be nice if SS clarified exactly when the system is functional.

My guess is that the system would be left running continuously but, if it hits a glitch and freezes outside office hours (as AC's equivalent automated system has done on occasions) then it won't get fixed until the office reopens. Hence it's only "guaranteed" during office hours Mon-Fri but, with a following wind, will often be available 24-7.

Oh great...I deposited some yesterday and it's still not turned up Seems so erratic I deposited about 30 minutes ago; bank online form said payment would be tomorrow but it was actually credited to my Lendy account almost immediately. Does your bank have " faster payments" at weekends, Pom? I believe they vary.
