Doesn't she also have a Dutch husband living in the Netherlands? So she arguably has two options, Bangladeshi or Dutch Citizenship? Can't for the life of me figure out why the UK is so obsessively attractive ..............  |

Didn't we strip her of UK Citizenship because her father resides in Bangladesh and she has Citizenship there via him?
I do vaguely recall Bangladesh saying "Not so!" but if her father is a Citizen and living there I don't see how she can't claim/be Bangladesh Citizenship?
All a bit too complex for my tiny mind ...........

I have no sympathy for her whatsoever. I reason that MI5 et al know a lot more about this woman than they are letting on, and if she was by any stretch "innocent" when she went, she sure as eggs ain't innocent now and has changed for the VERY much worse. Also possesses the shiftiest eyes when she's being interviewed that I have ever seen in my life. A hardcore terrorist and will never change IMHO.

I once gave my car to my niece as she needed a reliable car for her job and I no longer did much driving. She promptly sold it and didn't even tell me until I enquired about it. If I'd known that was going to happen I'd have kept the car as I was rather fond of it, and had just spent quite a lot of money on it. No good deed goes unpunished, as the old saying goes. Blimey, what a conniving niece ..........

You are using the old trick of switching the discussion which is NOT about whether Sharia Courts have “legal weight” or not, the discussion is as to whether “many arrive here (UK) and not only ignore that, but want to instigate their culture and customs here? “ and there is most definitely a want and an effort to instigate Sharia Courts. Nice try but the question is not about their legality.

Shall we start with ......... Sharia Courts? Nobody ever moans about the Beth Din, do they? That's been formalised since the early 18th century. Or ACAS. Or any other extrajudicial mutually-accepted arbitration. Wonder why. We've already ticked that off our national bucket list. - You sail half way round the world in ships full of heavily armed sailors, to a destination where the locals only have sharp sticks to defend themselves with
- When you get there you take liberties with the local women, and
- Steal anything of value that's not nailed down.
- Despite the above, nobody can understand why the locals aren't pleased to have us there

Yes, it happens, it's called "conquering", something which has been going on since time immemorial when a nation is big and strong enough - I don't understand why people single The British Empire out? .

I remember years ago going to meteora in Greece, It was made very clear when booking that the Monasteries have very strict dress codes. Get on the Bus and there are a lot of women and Blokes unsuitably dressed. we arrive and debus and there's one Woman in a Bikini ! ( it about covered everything ) and several men topless. the guide again explains the dress code and they mutter about how terrible it is that they are expected to comply with Greek rules (we are British !). they try to get in and are given attire to put over the top, Ms Bikini promptly rearranges it to reveal as much as possible. We get into the monastry and she then takes the top off. You can almost hear the tuts from the monks. we get outside at the end of the tour and a Police car has turned up and she gets arrested for "outraging decency" you have to abide by your hosts culture and customsShame then isn't it that many arrive here (UK) and not only ignore that, but want to instigate their culture and customs here?

Greenwood2 A fellow Forumite was going to pay the COLL offices a visit and kindly asked on here what questions we would like to pose. I don't recall we ever got an answer back but by then I was already elegantly exiting COLL anyway. I still got badly burned though because I didn't think they'd hit the buffers quite as suddenly as they did, thanks to the FCA's interference and Gross Incompetence. Beside the criminal "Professional" Valuations ( ) one of the most serious limitations of P2P is liquidity, you can rarely get out quickly as/when/if you want. Which is why I won't now touch any P2P with a bargepole, and haven't for years.
