I am constantly utterly bewildered as to how she maintains her large majority, year in, year out. I can only think there's "shenanigans"? Umm, which one are we talking about? The innumerate political extremist castigated for drinking a canned G&T on a train - or the innumerate political extremist whose bullying allegations were paid off? The one whose majority has been as low as 7.5k in two elections, and has averaged 17.5k - or the one whose majority has never dropped below 15k, only once below 18k, and has averaged over 19k? The one who went to Oxford Cambridge from a grammar school - or the one who lied about her comprehensive school claiming she went to a private school? The one who supports the communities she comes from - or the one who admits she wouldn't have let her own parents into the country? The one who admitted having shagged her scruffy, political extremist party leader - or the one who won't admit it, but whose body-language screams it? The one who's never held even junior ministerial office in more than a third of a century as an MP - or the one who's spent nearly half her parliamentary career as a minister, most of that time in one of the great offices of state? The idiot one, it's very clear every time she opens her mouth?

Yeah. Reminds me of my Ukranian brother-in-law who is currently staying with us has cold showers (and I mean cold mains water without any hot added). God knows why - something to do with having resistance to falling into frozen lakes where he goes fishing. Cold showers, exposure/immersion in cold water: it's currently 'a thing'. Keep up. [though I'd posit it is difficult to 'keep up' when its cold...] (Wim Hof, the Iceman, being the ultimate exponent of such things). When I visited Alcatraz back in the day (tourist, not inmate ) the Guide asked us whether the prison provided hot or cold showers. Most answered luke warm to cool/cold and he said " Nope, hot as they liked, and for as long as they liked." The reason being that they wouldn't fare very well swimming in the icy San Francisco Bay if they tried to escape.

So pardon my ignorance - what is the point in having a FCA register if they do not accept responsibility for it's accuracy. .... Ahh but of course to quote Mr Steward (head of enforcement) " If you're on the Register, it means we've checked you out and there are safeties in place if things go wrong."Experience and FOI's suggest otherwise ........ - Mark Steward is a proven liar then? As such, shouldn't he have been summarily dismissed from the FCA immediately the Collaterall fiasco became known? Or are the FCA FAR more concerned with protecting their own image at all costs and "protecting consumers" comes last? If anywhere............... Asking for a friend ..........

The free wills written "by" charities can be a nightmare, One case I know of the Charity wrote themselves in as first beneficiary, and as the recipient of the residual.When my MIL died my FIL received a letter from the charity within 10 days of her death asking "when can we expect to receive the bequest" "... ........ the Charity wrote themselves in as first beneficiary, and as the recipient of the residual." Don't people read their own will before signing?! I have used the "Charity Will" scheme for the second time recently and have been V pleased, particularly as it has cost me nowt.

Yes, given no-one (so far) has mentioned or experienced such problems, mine must have serious grunt! I bought it in the early 80s when they were difficult to find and EBAC was just about the only "Domestic" model you could buy. Mine's still going strong but I do have to be careful to keep it on "2" or so (it goes to "10" ) or it warps the doors. Seems the dinky modern Domestic ones aren't quite as powerful, which is probably a good thing. |

Haven't read the full thread so apologies if already mentioned:- Be VERY careful with a dehumidifier and monitor it closely, they can and will warp your doors horribly, to the point they won't close and need replacing. My boiler is in the kitchen and I leave one window very slightly open before I hang my highly spun washing on a large airing rack in the kitchen, it dries completely overnight and is ready by morning. I keep the kitchen door closed to "seal" the excess air moisture off from causing problems in the rest of the bungalow. |

Wonder how much the former Directors are still being paid (with our money) by the Administrators for "Consultancy" regarding their savvy business like handling of this easily avoidable utter shambles? Set up a Platform, you have no idea what you're doing and run the Platform into the ground, collecting very nice Salaries & Divvies along the way, and then collect even more cream from the Administrators when the whole thing blows up. Thanks FCA, your due diligence and oversight of these P2P Platforms is greatly appreciated ...........  |

One thing that makes me object to her returning to this country is that she will instantly become a celebrity and every journalist, TV chat show anchor will be begging to interview her. Not to mention all the human rights lawyers and other do gooders wanting to cash in or score points. Yep, pure evil gets rewarded. You couldn't make it up could you. Funny ole word innit?
