I have said it before, I met with the original three Directors in their "Board" Room several years ago, including Noman Akram, remember him? It is my very considered opinion that Noman found out/realised what his co-Directors were like, and getting up to, so he swiftly departed. There's a handful of very serious Big Hitters in this FS Merde Storm and I can't see any of them taking all this being utterly rinsed by a couple of dodgy Directors carp lying down, anyone know what they might be up to? PM me if you prefer .........

It seems that you are provided a numbered wristband to keep your place in the queue so that you can go for a slash, bite to eat, etc.........who knows, maybe you can even bugger off somewhere for a few hours kip?! How about bugger off home, and when you number is close to the front then sell the wrist band to somebody who wants to jump the queue It also seems that some enterprising soles (Ha Ha, never type in haste - souls, of course! ) are selling their wristbands on eBay after filing past for £300++?!!

I have just lobbed in some money to help the cause. I think if you are owed money from FS investments you would have to be daft not to contribute. If for no other reason to protect your own ar*e, never mind what you are owed by FS. Regarding suing the FCA. I was advised some while back that you cannot sue them - they are supposed to be fire proof in law I was informed so don't try! "Regarding suing the FCA.................................they are supposed to be fire proof in law"Correct. Which is the exact reason for their arrogance, disdain, shirking of any & all responsibility, and exemplary "service" to Financial Consumers. And ask yourself why, in the face of a mountain of verifiable facts & proof of the FCA's countless gross incompetencies, MPs, the Treasury Committee, and Others, STILL do nothing? The rot runs very, VERY deep.

"Consequently the security on our property loans can drop in value."And, of course, the Professional Valuation has to be half reasonably accurate in the first place. I (we all?) know the answer to that one if it's a "RICS Professional Valuer" involved ..............

The window of acceptable opinion ...and my take on the merits of thinking outside, and the drawbacks of remaining within, it’s boundaries. You may want to google "Overton Window". It's usually raised in terms of the political mainstream, but it applies equally to everything. In the last few years, in the UK, we've moved back towards acceptability of xenophobia and racism especially, with the hard right whining more loudly than for years about "the culture wars" - which usually translates to "we liked white men being regarded as inherently superior". They'll retreat back into the shadows soon enough, hopefully. The big hot-button one at the moment surrounds trans rights, now that sexuality is pretty much settled apart from a hardcore. And you don't think Rabid PC Lefty Liberal Wokism is out of control @adranc? And getting worse?

Carnage. Get out NOW, asap. I started exiting from P2P years ago and haven't invested since, the illiquidity is the killer. It's Funds for me nowadays, with gold as a hedge, which has turned out V well. And to answer the inevitable question I still come on here because I have losses with Moneything, Collateral, FundingSecure, and ABLrate. Just call me Lucky ...........

Seen adverts recently for CHASE bank, the selling point seems to be the numbers not on the card it's all in the app Durr great until you want to buy online and it asks for the card number or the APP goes down as adrianc will confirm not everywhere has great mobile signal yet this whole thing is built around it. But at least we are not the powerhouse that is the US of A some people are still paid by cheque and take it to the bank to cash it. 40 odd years ago when I started my first job they wanted bank details so I could be paid directly to the bank. In my recent experience in the US, tradesmen and the like only wanted payment by cheque (check). My suggesting online payment was a complete curveball to them. I even dealt with a car dealer who wanted my personal cheque in preference to online payment... I'm happy to be corrected, but could this be because I believe that in the US they take a bounced cheque/check VERY seriously. No getting away with it like you do here, instant jail in the US. IF this is so, seems a good idea to me.......

Civil Service runs the country and they are all on holiday ie 'working from home'. Bit harsh. My wife works a couple of days from home, at her desk before 8am works right through till after 5. Cant see being in the office any more productive than that. ".. ........... at her desk before 8am works right through till after 5." ......... a rare bird indeed!

Interesting travolta. I remember reading somewhere that many think Ronald Reagan was one of the best US Presidents ever. Not because he was smart, or anything else, simply because he knew his limitations, knew he didn't know it all, knew he was only average intelligence, so he called in all the relevant Specialists when a Big Decision had to be made and he went with the consensus. Seems a pretty good way to run a country to me. Regarding Boris, I was an agitator at local level back in the day and have seen Boris in action at London Council level on three occasions. He was formidable and annihilated the Opposition every time, quoting myriad facts and figures, all without notes - he was truly astounding to watch. Now, he also has many flaws & weaknesses too, and one of them is Carrie getting in his ear too much with all her Green Nonsense..............
