I can't help wondering if a black guy had turned up with a semi-automatic to a Good Old Boys demonstration and had killed a few that he "felt threatened by", whether he would have got off 'not guilty'. Depends if there was clear video evidence of what actually happened?

Me and my other tight fisted Aussie mate visit the local Wetherspoons every Monday night for a few V decent Guinnesses (Guinnii? ), an undoubtedly microwaved but nonetheless perfectly acceptable curry, always served by friendly, helpful and plentiful staff. Lke all pubs, conditions will vary? |

I also suggest reading the official transcripts from the trial, not the Right or Left Wing Hysterical Media Versions.
My favourite, and I paraphrase, is the Prosecutor when questioning the fellow who was shot but survived.
Prosecutor: "So, his rifle wasn't pointed at you?"
Witness: "No Sir".
Prosecutor: "But he raised his gun and shot you after you pointed your handgun at him?"
Witness: "Yes Sir."
It was an extremely wild and chaotic night (obviously!), but there seems adequate and various video footage available.

It's OK, as Bond goes, if you're happy to TOTALLY suspend belief for damn near three hours. No cliche unticked. (Wouldn't it be easier to just wait until it's actually released? I mean, if you were desperate to watch it, you'd have gone to the flicks, right?) I too thought it was mainly rubbish, Bond has now gone Total Hollywood.

To be honest, I think most Lendy Sufferers secretly hope Brooke & Gordon both develop massive ulcers and other ailments from the "stress", and suffer hugely accordingly.
You can be as nice and forgiving as you like, but me, I wish these two pricks All The Worst.
And that goes for the Collateral, Funding Secure and MoneyThing Directors too.

It's platform failure that is the reason I will be avoiding UK P2P in future because you end up losing most of your money with the vicious charges made by administrators. auctioneers, valuers, lawyers etc.
There is no protection for investors and the FCA has been worse than useless.
Yep, and with Collateral they actually, singularly, CREATED and CAUSED the failure.

Notification late yesterday from CH that the registered office for the business has been moved to the BDO office in Liverpool. I wonder if this is a sign of some (any) progress / action? Indeed, I spotted that notification. There are several possibilities what this means exactly, so I won't speculate on that ...... but things are definitely moving. FWIW since Col went pop papers were moved from Manchester to London and now to Liverpool.I can't be the only Collateral Loser ShaftedByTheFCA Lender who is VERY concerned about this. Given Government's reputation for Gross Incompetence, I shudder to think how many papers will be/have already been "lost". And, of course, as usual, it will be the "important" ones that have grown legs.
