He told everyone to do degrees, not degrees in business/science etc, so we ended up with a stream of "insert here" degrees and no one who could plumb in a washing machine
Oh @bobo , SPOT ON!I want to scream every time I hear someone has a Degree in "Meeja Studies", or somesuch, and their spelling, grammar, geographical knowledge of the UK, *, etc, etc is beyond atrocious. I know, because I used to have to interview and try and employ them. In their minds they're all brilliant and want to start as a "Manager". And don't get me started on the FdSc Surf Science and Technology available from Cornwall College! EDIT / PS - * and Basic Arithmetic.

I attended a public viewing of plans for a windfarm proposed for near me, One Chap asked about the potential noise and was told wind turbines are virtually silent,he then asked about the impact on the visual landscape as these are proposed to be 180 Meters tall, and was told there may be some impact including on the value of property "but it is worth it for the country as a whole". We are also informed that should the local council object that the Welsh Government may overrule that, so democracy at it's best.

I think most sane folk are appalled at how Liberal Politically Correct Wokery is now also infiltrating our Armed Forces, it has already neutered our Police. Many years back the "Normandy Beach Landers" had their own Day of Remembrance & Parade in London so I went along to salute the Old Boys/Girls, knowing there would not be another Parade after this last one.
They all looked SO proud, men and women, and RIGHTLY so, but it was so sad seeing them dropping like flies as they stood to attention on a V warm day - the Medical Services were quite busy.
I clapped and cheered them loud and long because it was the very least I could do.
Youngsters today should NEVER forget the HUGE debt of gratitude we owe these *wonderful people.
"Lest we forget" indeed.
* Sure, they had NO choice, society dictated they join up and they HAD to land and face a hail of murderous fire, but would YOU do it?

£75 this month on the Max £50K Holding. £525 Total over the past 12 Months so Return now at 1.05% That £75 saved them from me Withdrawing the lot.  Withdrawing it would be the easy bit. Deciding what to do with it...........much trickier, especially if you're at your limit in"riskier" investments. Anyway, I'm glad you stayed; if we're going to suffer then why shouldn't you? Oh that's easy, I've just heard that Messrs Pearce, Currie, Luxmore, Hackett, Brooke and Gordon have just set up a New! Improved! P2P Platform! Can't fail, backed up by solid, Professional RICS Valuations, I've remortgaged, borrowed from all my relatives and friends, and betting the farm with them.

There MUST be Prosecutions and jailings, not just over these Power Boats but also numerous other fraudulent FS Loans.
The evidence is crystal clear, and if successful Prosecutions don't result then The System is well & truly fornicated.
It seems to me that in First World countries only the UK condones/allows such absolutely blatant fraud to flourish and Perpetrators able to walk away scot free.
A Political Correctness and "Human Rights" step too far?!!
PS - Mind you, I suppose that the UK/The City has to protect its international "reputation" at ALL costs.
A "reputation" for what you may well ask!

Guys & Gals, PLEASE keep duck updated on you contacting your MP efforts – it's absolutely vital!
If you want the best possible chance of getting yer COLL spondoolies back, PLEASE Personal Message duck and notify him whether you have contacted/emailed your MP, or not.I Personal Messaged duck that I'd sent "The" email to my MP, gave him her name, and that I am awaiting a reply, and he was V receptive. Soon as I hear from my MP I'll immediately update duck again via Personal Message on what she says. Best not to post MP replies etc on here but it's HUGELY helpful if you can Personal Message duck and keep him up to speed on when & what you sent your MP, and definitely what your MP's reply is/was. Duck was V pleased to hear from me and was gracious enough to also answer a few questions I had. As I have said, please let duck know who your MP is because this allows him and The Lings to strategise and focus better in future. Don't let duck and The Lings efforts be in vain, they're trying V hard to get you YOUR money back – SUPPORT THEM!! I thank you.

I'm sure you're aware stevelee that every reply BDO provides probably costs us £150 - £250+ or some such ridiculously extortionate amount. I think any of us get a Reply from BDO on any subject it's probably an excellent idea to post on here so that we don't reinvent a VERY expensive Ferrari wheel.  PS- THINK before you write/email/phone BDO for anything fellow COLL Losers FCA Gross Incompetence Sufferers, is it really necessary?? The Creditors Committee can of course ask BDO questions for you at the next meeting and a verbal answer should not cost anything, if the CC report it back. |

agent69, there is MUCH yet to be revealed, it will more than make your hair curl, it will fall out. The FCA are 100% culpable for Collateral. For a starter, Collateral shouldn't have even been on their website Register except for their gross incompetence and non-existent security. "You can trust the Register." Really?!!! And then what happened after, well............. Watch this space.

For a Government created organisation, formed to "Protect Financial Consumers", the FCA spends an awful lot of time, effort and money on denying any and all culpability, especially when they ARE the DIRECT, proven cause of the financial disaster.
I'm looking at you Collateral.
Wonderful integrity flowing through the FCA's veins isn't there.

Julian Bell, (just recently ousted by an internal coup) former Leader of Ealing Council was recorded on Zoom telling his Ward Councillors to take advantage and use Covid for cover as a reason to foist more *LTNs on the Borough.
