And yet when I drove past this morning there was still no signage and the render is still crumbling. But they have a website so all is good 🤔

And they usually leave it to the end to serve papers If your intention is to serve 5000+ people by email - why wait till the last moment? All sorts of technical hiccup could happen - server failure, software glitch, a JCB cutting through fibre optics - and oops you've missed the deadline. We can but hope

One thing that puzzles me is that, if the claim is being brought on a no win no fee basis, the claimant's lawyers must think there's a good chance of success. Yet there's also been talk that the claimant is instructing the lawyers to act in a way that's contrary to the lawyers advice. All seems very odd. Do the no win no fee companies take out insurance to cover themselves when they lose ? Is that even possible ?

Nobody was forced to invest in this...or any loan. I did my own due diligence and decided it wasn't for me.I missed out on all the interest but I'm not convinced this will end positively so am happy with my original decision.

Do the borrower's intentions matter? So long as the security is sufficient to cover the loan and interest in the end then I'm happy. And how many times have we seen the security to be insufficient

When he applied for the loan you mean 😊
No, the first time it became blinding obvious he/she/it was lying to us .. ISTR that was something to do with funds coming in from a Swiss pension account or similar.
Was there ever any intention of opening an antiques centre ? I think not, else they would have done so a long time ago,got some income and then they wouldn't have needed loan extensions. Don't forget this was supposedly close to opening 18 months ago.

In my opinion that point (mugness) was passed the first time the borrower lied to us.
When he applied for the loan you mean 😊

Well I never, just been past and there's 3 vans in the rear yard, not the usual builders vans, these were clean with no sign writing.....and the back doors to the building were open.
Maybe it was a mirage

Stokeloans, we are only 9 days from opening now. How's it looking? Banners? Balloons? Full page spread in the Sentinal? All systems go, I should think. All systems go,the invisible cloak is in place

yep good to hear. Stock arrived and allowed to develop extra 'patina' - so many more quids of value. could be the same invisible lads working all the hours in an earlier 'update' Don't mention patina,Drew from Salvage Hunters will be salivating

I would like to know if they could get rid of "pile of rubble and a full skip" within 8 working days. waiting for MT's update on 7th Mar. One mans full skip and pile of rubble is another mans 'Stock of reclaimed architectural salvage'. Given the intended nature of the business this may be a positive sign that goods are arriving. I never thought of that so I'll rephrase ... Drove past at 3pm Stock arriving 😉 Shame there's no ramp to get in the back doors

I don’t think LY cares anymore. It reminds me of that old Football chant “no one likes us, we don’t care”. I believe it’s a millwall chant. More likely Leeds Utd. It's Millwall

I'm guessing it's by Adam Williams.... he's wanting to write an exposé with lenders who've lost money....but as none of us have as yet....

Under Lendys t+c's the lenders are not permitted to contact the borrowers or attempt to recover any losses....but thanks to the court judgement the borrower is allowed to contact the individual lenders and possibly sue them. That's fair isn't it.Do t+c's only count in 1 direction legally or are Lendys terms unfair ?
