The current situation with the container loans has shown that some secured loans are more secure that others. A building would probably have it more difficult to perform a disappearing act than some containers or a car or a painting. In my opinion, it is quite unacceptable that the asset security in this particular case cannot be located. I was considering deal risk, valuation risk, market risk, downturn risk, but never thought the assets would disappear. For me this is a lesson learned. From now on I will probably expect a higher rate from a loan secured on something that can suddenly become out of sight. Good old property finance, with all of its issues, seems to be superior.

Given that the planned end of this loan is about 5 weeks from now, would it make sense to provide a clearer picture of the expected end game? The last note says "Land has been re-zoned. Potential valuation of over £XXm. Waiting on new valuation, will update when received". That is all positive, but provides little timing information. The "Project Strategy" section is also inconclusive. Can we, as lenders, know what are the borrower's intentions and expected timetable?

So while I'm waiting for the SS website to load so I can read the valuation reports ... Anyone want to take a punt on the allocations. I'm going to guess these could be close to 80%, but wouldn't be surprised (considering the total size) if it is close to 100%. Or even 100% with some left over? Considering the behaviour of money going into PBL20 I tend to think that demand is being underestimated. I expect allocations to be below 50%.

Well, if the AC loan goes ahead then FC should get paid out of that. Otherwise FC should default the loan and seek immediate payment from a company that has liquidity.

So just to confirm I have to declare the gross income and not the income less of fees? On some platforms say MarketInvoice I heard this can be up to 30%. Also, The tax issue of buying on secondary markets i.e. buying at a premium on sites needs to be highlighted again and again. I should have known/remembered I can not deduct the seller premium fees. On F.K. I have bought a sizeable amount at a premium. On the dashboard page and the income page vs the tax report it shows a 30% percent difference. Example, dashboard (no capital losses fyi) shows net income of £800 yet tax report shows £1050. Big difference imho. Yes to declaring gross income before lender fees (wef 6/4/2015). Re sales/purchases, and assuming you are not a trader, yes again. Just to give the full picture: * Fees paid by the seller to the platform are not deductible against income. I'm not aware of any platforms charging fees to buyers but the same would apply. * Premiums/discounts are not taxable/deductible against income for either the seller or the purchaser. Traders would bring the latter items (but not lender fees) into their income calculation. Sorry, what is "wef 6/4/2015"? I don't agree with reporting the gross figure. Ultimately what the saver receives is the net figure so that should be taxed. That is the spirit of the law.

111,120 loan running 43 days late. Borrower is some sort of high street brand named "H***e of H*****y". Last comment says: 23 Mar 2016 The borrower’s direct debit has bounced twice, and consequently March’s payment was not collected on time. We are currently chasing the borrower to make a manual repayment, and will add another comment within the next two weeks if the situation changes. We thank investors for their patience. Of course no comment nor payment followed after two weeks.
The issue is that AC sent an email today announcing a 733,000 loan to "H***e of H*****y".
Has someone seen this too?

All I can find are press articles and opinions. Not one actual application. Is there any bank or institution that offers a concrete "Flexible ISA" to be open and used from 6 April?
