Has the agenda changed - it doesn't mention drinks anywhere beyond the title and the title doesn't mention 2+ hours of what seem like formal presentations Also, curious as to why the ISA session isn't a breakout session.

I would have cheerfully bored the pants off everybody with a talk on medical imaging and the use of 3D printers in medical care (and why Real Ale is an important part of research methodology), but unfortunately am not able to make it after all. Thanks for the warning, I hope it is a good event. DD

Great event, lovely hosts, great pork pies and now my own Ratesetter cup.
On a serious note good to see a transparency level not shared by in my knowledge any other financial services firm or for that matter p2p lender.

It was good to meet some of you yesterday. I can now confirm officially that not everyone on this forum is a crazy conspiracy theorist. Some forumites are normal interesting people.

RM looks askance at his avatar . Anyway, one of the most interesting things I found out about regarded the provision fund. All defaulted, distressed, or otherwise not perfectly performing loans get taken over by the provision fund (we lenders see it as early repayments). To date the principal of these loans is ~£14m. Ratesetter account for these assets (many / most of which continue to pay) at £0 for the purposes of the provision fund numbers provided to us, and included eg in the coverage ratio.

Does that not facilitate Ratesetter secretly taking over the universe and replacing us all by a corporate fleet of purple robo-lending cyborgs?!?!

Ah, but I don't think OG was there. It was good to see you again, Kev, and also to know who Investboy and registerme are. And pip, I didn't manage to get one of those purple cups this time. Maybe next year?

Ratesetter drinks 2020 The robo-lending cyborg reacted badly when Kev explained that they'd run out of Ratesetter mugs.

I think I knew that's where the loans went (hence some of my early repayment) - not sure I appreciated they were 'book valued at £0' though .. seems 'a bit conservative'. And were there any other interesting things, or are you still typing furiously? ISTR someone gave us a nice potted summary last year .. any takers for this year's official minute writer?

No minutes I’m afraid, but I did just want to say how much I appreciated the amount of work that clearly went into preparing for the evening.
