The Guardian has decided not posting news on X, but X users will be allowed to share their news.
They need money and it seems clear to me their income source is not from X
At least the Guardian has not censored news for X users. 🤣

Meanwhile, the former directors of the company in liquidation swear blind they know nothing... as they set up a company doing the same thing with very similar equipment...

Meanwhile adrianc 's head will explode when he learns that Band aid 40 "do they know it's Christmas" will have vocals featuring the original Bono singing in harmony with Current Bona currently estimated at 67% chance of being number 1

Reminds me of the Belfast Furniture store loan on AC. The night before they went into administration a big lorry turned up at the back doors and all the stock dissappeared (never to be seen again).

And that's not actually a big surprise if I pause and think about it, since Live Aid was the weekend I did my DoE expedition, so - yeh - 1985.

It’s also appears on Sky News, this is what the opposition said.
I haven’t read their plan yet, so I can’t really imagine what dog-free area would promote / enforce anti-racism, especially dogs are not racists.
Are you saying creating allotments and grow your own food, climate change plans have anything to do with Anti-Racism?
What are the real action plan tackling racism in Wales?

still, not quite a complete non-sequitur, as the place it appears in is the "Recommendations" section. That is kind of an important point. In one of only 6 bullet points (albeit some of those bullet points are effectively 'plurals'). Also, given that IS the only place it appears, it does rather beg the question "what on earth was the thought process/rationale that got them to that recommendation?

The only thing I can think of - and clearly the Excuse's implication - is that some Muslims regard dogs as haram, unclean. Which, tbf, they usually are - especially with unfettered access to fox poo and the like on hillsides...G'wan, read it...

I rather talk to someone who experienced racial discrimination. Reading this plan not going to help, I am afraid. I know plenty of people afraid of dogs, but nice dog owners/ walkers wouldn’t let their dog near those who are afraid of / dislike dogs. Banning dogs for anti racism is just complete nonsense in my opinion. Are we going to ban kids / bikes/ vapes/ mobile phones because of Anti-Racism? 🤣 BTW, there are plenty of Muslims like dogs and own dogs like the London Mayor Khan, also plenty of positive Hadiths about dogs. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9915019/Sadiq-Khan-spotted-using-cavalcade-cars-drive-4-5-miles-walk-dog.htmlOf course, those Muslims who have negative views about dogs might want to bring the issue from the racism lens.

I agree that dogs unleashed or fouling green spaces is unpleasant, frightening for some, and deters people from using them. I have no idea if being afraid of dogs is more prevalent in some races than others, I know a few white British who are pretty terrified of loose big dogs. We have some good open spaces around here and I can't say I like it if a big dog comes racing up with the owner 100 yards away, however much they shout he's friendly, I don't want to find out. I think banning dogs from some spaces particularly where small children play or would like to play and ensuring dogs are on leads or at least under control in most enclosed green spaces particularly in urban areas would not be a bad thing.
