My father's last delivery was May, at 52.8p. But that was having just come off his then 1 year contract and was an uplift of 21p (yes, I know, I hadn't realised the nature omf the contracts and if I had I would have got it filled to overflowing before the last one ran out). So I'm not sure how you could have been paying 52p in June if that was on a contract which was around 18-20 months old. Some error in here ?

Some error in here ? <rummages for paperwork and emails> Looks like the switch was Dec 2019, so I'm well out of contract now! My quote spreadsheet from 2019 says 38p year 1, 44p with usual caveats year 2. Only invoices I'm seeing on their portal are 41p for a Feb delivery, then 52p this June - plus the usual 5% VAT. Do I even dare ask around now...?

I would say your father was getting a good deal if you’re suggesting he was paying 32p per litre for his LPG in May this year.

Prior to that in Feb this year and Nov last year he had deliveries at 31p (I just went and double checked the bills).

Personally I am still hunting about picking up logs where I can for free but it gets harder as I get older and more people are doing the same around here. This is simple theft. If you don't own the land and the tree, you can't take the timber without permission. *Edit to say the law changed relatively recently on this - but for several years taking twigs branches or logs from land that isn't yours without permission is stealing - you're even legally obliged to offer back anything you cut from a neighbour's overhanging plant. Please don't encourage taking things that aren't yours Which part of my post did i mention that i was stealing it? Maybe you should have a look on Forestry commision websites or speak to a local tree surgeon. Anyway my original post was about heating oil..... still no update n how the £ 100 is to be credited when an oil order is placed?

As it has been relatively mild, I managed to eke out the oil for another couple of weeks.
But, bearing in mind that my supplier has moved to a 15 working day delivery cycle, I worked out my estimated usage and ordered 900-1000 litres on Monday.
36 hours later, the truck was outside and he could only squeeze 850 litres into the tank!
The bill was 99.9p per litre with 5% VAT on top.
Oct 21 - 66p/l total
Feb 22 - 79p/l total Oct 22 - 105p/l total
There wasn't any mention of a grant...
All contributions in cash or wood gratefully accepted.

Oct 21 - 66p/l total
Feb 22 - 79p/l total Oct 22 - 105p/l total So +60% over last year, and +32% over Feb. Not quite as hideous as it could have been.

My mum just had her tank topped up at £1.04+vat a litre , over £1100 to half fill her tank, thats her entire monthly income gone before she eats. I could rant but whats the point, and still no mention of the £100 oil contribution , prob forgotten about along with all Trusses other promises. I despair at the way the world is going , humams can do so many wonderful things but current global leaders are fu"£$%^ things up so much.

I feel much better now that all these honorable folks have had a wee chat about it. I will feel even better if they actually do something about it.
