I have no clue what wood you can take forestry commission land, I wouldn't be surprised if you can take the debris after they have removed the big wood. We have a good amount of wood from our own trees/overgrown shrubs which will be helpful through this winter.

Still dont understand how this will work. So if you dont use gas then you must use oil? How do they decide who only has electric? Ie no gas or oil? Put another way if you use electric and wood , an alternative fuel, do you get £100? The forestry commision(scavenging license) reduces theft. Hiding oil tank out of site is about as much as you can do unless you can bury it

Mike do you know if this has to be applied, or are they figuring out who is eligible automatically

Surely it would be easier for the oil distributor to offer the discount or for an individual to prove(by account with supplier)that they use oil and buy regularly then be given the £100.

That would be open to abuse one of my friends has accounts with at least 3 suppliers, they buy from different suppliers depending on price and availability

Certainly not anyone who has to prove something or for those who verify/record the proof. bracknellboy I don't believe anyone knows for sure if it will happen without asking but many people have assumed that people will not need to claim and it will be fully automatic, e.g "We see [paying the £100 through electricity accounts] as good news for CPS Fuels customers as you will not have to do anything to receive the £100 payment, which will be paid directly to you via your existing electricity supplier."

Just checked my heating.
I turned it on 2 weeks ago, So far I've used about 150 kWh of gas, with an average daily run time of 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Ours is still "off" - its been on for I think two evenings and one morning for total of about 3 hours so far. Looking at the weather, we might get away for at least another week as well....

Heating still off here, too.
Although that's as much to do with the bloody boiler having a sulk as anything else.

Nah Welsh valleys, we are usually 3-4 degrees lower than Cardiff, usage is about 1/2 of last years and 1/3 of 2020

Level living room door open an hour or so before bed and the heat travels to bedrooms. No heating going on until we see ice outside 😁

easynow adriancHave you had bulk LPG refills recently? and if so what are you paying. I've just called Avanti (my father's supplier) and they are saying that the price now would be the same as he paid in May. This is on variable rate. I was rather pleasantly supplied to hear that as I was concerned it would have gone up from that. He is only just under 50% but with winter coming up and possible pressure on gas prices.....but then I was reading that in the very recent (few weeks?) gas prices (in general) had been easing off.

No, ours is still near-full from Summer. p2pindependentforum.com/post/460048/thread
