Aftermarket doing good business today ... loads of stuff popping up. What do people know that I don't! plenty of loans that don't come up that often are now listed on AM...you're right, do they know something we don't?!

Perhaps after Lenders Day it would be nice to have something to offer, It's mainly MdeM selling with FirstLender selling his/her Redditch. But it does make you wonder a little...

I picked up some of Angle** and Bolt** since I didn't have any of these. They've only got 3 months to run, but I might as well have my funds doing something and hopefully in 3 months the primary market will be full of loan offers rather than tumbleweed.

That's funny, but that "tumbleweed" is really selling. All of Hackney held by the U/W's either is on the AM or gone through the AM already, clearly IPPY is gonna be there for a while yet tho' Redditch isn't gonna last the day it's now down to 267U or £26,700, wasn't that at about double that a few hours ago?

This batch of Re****ch might not last very long, but it is the first release, so we might expect it to go relatively quickly. As has been pointed out earlier, however, the underwriters were holding a total of £134k of this loan as of last night, so we can expect more to be released once the first batch is gone.

some Loan #29[Mod edit] added now, £22k worth, but with only around 3 weeks to go, is it worth it? unless you have spare cash sloshing about doing nothing, which most of us probably don't. Looks like possibly an u/w trying to free up some funds I would assume.

Releasing funds immediately before the bullet payment. Does the seller know something we don't? 8 repayments made without a hitch & the last one on the way. I'd be very surprised if there's any funny business going on. probably the u/w releasing a big chunk of their funds to underwrite another loan maybe rather than wait the 3-odd weeks left on loan to get that chunk of their money back.

Regarding E**, it has all gone and there was a fair amount on the AM, yet I couldn't see the appeal.
In the grand scheme of things, it should be very easy for the borrower to make all the interim interest payments even if business was far short of forecast, yet the big unknown is if there are funds or alternative refinancing available to meet the bullet. The original rate of interest reflects this default risk, yet the original lender has kept nearly all this return but passed on nearly all of the default risk.
Maybe the headline lure of 18%pa on the AM made some lenders bite, though it isn't clear whether it really was 1.5%pm or 1.1%pm. If 1.5%, for the sake of ~£11 interest on each £1k with a lot of uncertainty over the payment, I couldn't see the point. I also couldn't find the terms for any late payment.

I have to say I agree with the sentiments behind this, I only saw 124units for sale so not a large amount. With this situation I understand why the Banks work the way they do. I want to act in a way where I feel happy with myself but I would be sorely tempted to sell seeing that the bullet was coming and having no information about how the firm was doing, tho' I see a wisely worded question has been asked just in the last few hours. I want to hold onto things for the long term (though I will be selling some for diversity), this is why I joined AC rather than FC. Yet I still have fear of losses. I'm finding this all harder than I thought.

I'm sure everyone will be happy to see Epping on the AM (1420units)
