Bonus rate is just targetting the big investor.
On a £1,000 investment the bonus rate works out at just 0.01%.

Just calculated my potential bonus - not enough characters on the calculator to display all the digits after the point

I'm not that large an investor, and it won't work out at much more than a quid or so for me, but I actually think it is reasonably fair. It's a big loan and they need investors with deep pockets, but everyone who will or most pertinently already has invested in this loan will get something. £5k would get you their standard fare of 0.5% bonus, ( if I've done the maths right) so all in all I think it's quite reasonable, and hope it works for SS.

Someone just did 300k.
Really annoyed now that I no longer get e-mails!
I might well miss something I CAN afford.
No phone text either .....

Can't even find the embarrassed smilie (will check later). Now is it a £1 bonus I might get or 10p .

I personally think that this sliding scale of ascending rates for larger investors is a bit wanky. If SS really need to incentivise investment in this particular loan, I would be far happier if they just upped the rate to, say, 13% for everyone rather than show contempt for smaller investors in this way. I only want a smallish percentage of my overall P2P portfolio to be in PBL's and I suppose this tends to direct me more in the direction of AC rather than SS. But then I'm only small fry.

roughly 34p extra in total or 3p/month - depends on rounding as SS pays interest based on calendar months not monthly average across year.

I make it £34 over 12 months. Think that's wrong.

1% per 100k, so 0.185% of 1850 = £3.42 (I think) How are you going to spend it?
