The amount of money people put it doesn't necessarily reflect their knowledge in this area

My worry about this one is (a) they state they don't yet have a customer for the heat; (b) energy prices are dropping making energy projects much more risky; and (c) even in the best of times CHP plants in the UK were a dodgy proposition due to poor economics and problem with the technology. So if the project folds, the value of the land may well plummet as there may be no other use for it in the short to medium term. I think this one could sink Savingstream if if goes pear shaped zzr600 I am also steering clear of this one. It is a bit out of my comfort zone and IMHO far removed from SS's normal area of expertise. This is a specialised market and albeit it is only a bridging loan, the main stream funders will be reluctant to commit until all "paperwork" is complete and signed off by an independent authority. We are aware how long it can take to exit from "normal" PBL's.

Well, it seems this loan has not gone live today as suggested by SS in yesterday's email. So, no draw-down and no peanuts, just had to change the thread title . savingstream really should amend the loan description page too, no mention of 6 pm 8th April bonus cut off time there, anyone buying loan parts now might well think they will still qualify for the bonus! No draw-down for the dreaded PBLs 16-19 either (although I think some other have unless I'm imagining it)!

Loan drawn-down and bonus paid this morning . Don't know if they applied it to post April 8th purchases, can anyone tell? Off to the shops for me bag of peanuts now . In Edit: they've also just paid the interest due to the end of March - and the good news for those of you concerned with the tax issue is that it's dated today!

I think it did apply. I bought mine after 8th April and got a whooping 2p credited today.
Do you think the on going availability of investment in this loan is reducing the urgency to make progress on the pipeline loans?

Anyone else experiencing a problem buying all or a proportion of the £2543 that's currently available on the SM? Any amount of it I try to buy just sticks at "Processing your investment", and goes no further. Tried 3 different browsers, to no avail - and I have no problem buying loan parts from other PBL's/DFL's. Odd one, savingstream . Not just you. Just out of interest I have tried to invest £5 and it is stuck on "Processing your investment"......

Anyone know what's happening with this loan? It's due to be repaid in 19 days and the last I heard was it burning down a couple of months back.
Updates just say 'No change'.

SS Received payment for a two-month extension on 23/3, so it seems the "Remaining Time" on this loan is close to being correct, so interest being held is close to (or has been) depleted. At the time of that update, the borrower was waiting for a new JV (joint venture) partner, which was going through the legals, but as you say no updates since then. Wouldn't hold your breath that this will be repaid any time soon...

New update:
They have received an equity investment in the project which is being used to pay our interest w hilst they arrange further equity investment or refinance by mid September. All on track, will probably need another month extension from August to September.

Never really one that took my fancy this one, too many "ifs" for my liking, its a good idea but lacks substance, i'm not sure how viable it is without a use for the heat they produce which could well leave a thin line between boom or bust for the project.
