No, I didn't pre-fund this loan but I was still hoping for a sms in case I changed my mind when the loan went live. But I suppose they have to stop the website crashing somehow.

Chris I guess their thinking is that there's no point telling you about a loan that is already filled. However, the volume of SM activity suggests you might be able to get a slice if you subsequently decided you wanted some.

I've oversubscribed and just sold a portion of my prefunded amount. I hope SS will at the end reconcile correctly my available funds that I've transferred this morning, BACS deficit and subtract sold loan part. Because atm those numbers are all over the place.

Only those who have invested in this loan have been sent notification. If you didn't receive and email and you have subscribed, please let us know directly and we will look into it for you. Nothing received in respect of this loan nor PBL55 both of which I now have chunks of! - I've emailed you directly as requested

As soon as your Available Funds balance is greater than your BACS deficit, you should see an option appear next to the BACS deficit figure to offset one against the other. STEVET, a BIG thank you for providing us all with that information. Well done for spotting it. Without you revealing what you had witnessed, I would not have known that this facility existed.

Just to be nit-picky - the option appears when the Available Funds balance is greater than or equal to the BACS deficit. (I'm loving it too )

I hope SS will at the end reconcile correctly my available funds that I've transferred this morning, BACS deficit and subtract sold loan part. Because atm those numbers are all over the place. Naughty Boy! Unfortunately with the allocation method in its current form (percentage of pre-fund requested) SS are likely to see a lot of naughty boys (and girls) in future. The Hull land was not a particularly strong test for the pre-funding method because the total PF pot was so close to the loan amount. Things could pan out very differently with much larger or smaller loans where the 'guessing game' might be harder. One day a loan will come along where it is misjudged significantly by lenders and then we will have a true test of procedures. If a loan proves less popular than expected for whatever reason we may end up with huge amounts on the SM and many BACS deficits unpaid. What will SS do? Get tough with the naughty ones or simply shrug and take back the unpaid bits? One feature that would assist reconciliation of the type mentioned by Investboy is to allow partial offsetting of a BACS deficit with the amount of available funds (rather than the current method where only 100% offsetting is allowed). Then when a BACS payment is made at least it should match the deficit on the system. I'm by no means the first to suggest this but it seems such a useful change that it's worth repeating.

Think this is a great facility, I just wish they would call it something other than Deposit in the Transactions, such as Advance.
Its difficult to see when it reconciles with actual Deposit.
They could also show it as Advance and debit the amount but guess that might upset rest of system.
Thanks
Alan
