Yes the site looks to be 'real time' across the board, I had a loan page open before showing availability that disappeared while I was procrastinating. Maybe it's causing the slowness. Edit, as stevet says, it's now quite slick. 'Real time' huh, I wonder if we are getting real time interest accruals from now on too - perhaps to 40 dps . My two loan parts acquired yesterday haven't accrued a day or any interest yet, another bug or real time accruing?

Incidentally, I took at look at the new site on my iPhone last night and utterly hate the "one tile at a time" Mobile layout, so I'd also like to be able to view the Desktop layout on a mobile device (option not currently offered, that I could find anyway). It seems to be pants on tablets or mobiles, and on my ipad I have to say it has got to be the worst website I have seen visually or had to use in a very long time. I can't believe their designers couldn't do better. Tried it on the laptop last night Firefox Win 10 and it was 'liveable' and apparently faster(?) once the bugs and promised upgrades are in it might actually end up being 'comfortable' to use. However my preferred access is the tablet so I seriously hope they address the usability issues for these.

Well I've let the dust settle while everyone went around panicking about this and worrying about that, and I've come to a few conclusions.
The auto-update on the available loans is brilliant. Sat watching the screen for a few minutes, a loan came up, 20 seconds later I had bought a piece of it no problem. Didn't have to go to another page to pre-fund etc, all done on the same page. It's a great improvement on the old site.
All my little bits of loans are now now added up so I can now see the totals in in each loan. Again an improvement
The only thing I miss from the old site, has been mentioned quite a bit by others, and that is the ability to see accrued interest. Personally I would either get rid of the "rate" column in the "live loan parts" page. (as it is really a waste of space, UNLESS there are plans in the future for changing rates on certain loans), or add another column to show accrued interest.
Other than that, I don't seem to see many problems...... I think most of the issues people have mentioned is because they havn't read the SS email sent to everyone, to explain differences, or they havn't bothered to take a wander around the site to see where everything is.
Ps, had a play around on the website on my android phone. and I find it much more "mobile friendly" than the old site. I can't understand why people are saying they cant sell loan parts because they cant work the slider. I just did what i always did, put the amount you want to sell in the box BELOW the slider.

You did well to get a loan part. I have had a success rate of about 1/10 and of the two I got, only one was the full amount I wanted. Just seems to be honest completion though. As to accrued interest, yes-it should be there at a click. I also don't need 19 mails congratulating me on getting nothing at 12%.

I sent an email to SS yesterday about mobile use and the lack of list view for loans, their reply was Thanks for your email. I think this was done intentionally as wide tables with lots of columns do not display well on mobile devices, I will add a task for them to come up with a suitable solution to this issueI disagree with their comments as I never had problems with the old site or with the MT site which also uses tables - we may see a fix one day

I agree the emails for getting 0% should be stopped, but that is something SS can sort relatively easily I would have thought. But the fact that you are not getting every loan you are after shows that the system is working. In the past, you would have got all those loans BUT we would have had negative balances on loans showing all over the place. Which was something everyone was in agreement that they wanted it got rid of and sorted (well apart from those playing the system getting interest on loans that didn't really exist)

I had an issue using the old site on my android phone, and exactly the points SS were making. I couldn't use my phone vertically as I couldn't see all the columns, I had to turn it 90 degrees and view the site horizontally, and even then the last column on the right wasn't visible as there was a dark band covering it. The new mobile site is a great improvement on the old one.

I do agree, I was just pointing out that you were lucky to get what you wanted first time. If that is what you were saying. I managed to get £75 in the red by not paying attention, which I don't intend to send money for. Sold another little bit of £83 to cover it. Not done that before and wondering how it will be handled?

Interestingly I always use my phone horizontally looking at any web site, for me it just matches a conventional screen better - perhaps thats why i don't like the single column we have now

Lots of wasted space to the right when used horizontally.

What was wrong with the old one? It was pretty simple to use granted it needed a few minor changes but did it really need a change?

Now that you come to mention it I didn't get an SMS either. I wonder did they forget to hook that up? Check under My Account / Personal Details that your mobile number is correct. My mobile number had moved to my phone number box. This might explain why we didn't get an SMS. Yep, that was it. The migration transposed my mobile number over my landline number and blanked the mobile number field. I suggest everybody check this.... (cross-posted from the PBL65 thread because more people are likely to see it here).

registermeThank you! That'll be why I received no SMS text about yesterday's loan launch! I'm still not sure any SMS texts went out yesterday. I'd already added my mobile phone number again before PBL065 went live and didn't get one.
