Yes John. The "click here captcha" thingy has to decide on your credentials, then will either take you straight to the "confirm purchase" window or make you play the fuzzy pictures game, by which time the loan parts will have gone. I've already successfully bought two loan parts since this started, totalling £0.03, but I have to confess I was using the easy option of laptop + mouse ... and haven't been trying very hard. Better than me. Ive failed miserably with mouse & laptop ... again not really trying

Should I be getting the captcha picture confirmation request 90% of the time ?, I am not a bot. Thought it is supposed to remember you are human and not ask you for a while. If you have ADBLOCK or GHOSTERY, then make sure you whitelist saving stream. Google uses your cache to store data, and can’t do so when these are active.

Yes. On earlier advice I've also disabled adBlock+ for SS. I don't always have to do the pictures (and I haven't even seen the banana one yet).

I have not seen the pictures once. I arrived at ticking the box a few times, each time ending with - parts already sold. Better luck next time.

I used to do most of my investing with SS using a smartphone but I'm finding it difficult to scroll and click etc fast enough to be able to get past the capture. Do we have to wait for the "click here..." to stop changing and turn into a plain tick before clicking on the buy button? Yes. The tick means you passed. The rotating doodad is while the page tries to talk to the google server which may want to test you (or maybe not)

It's strange as yesterday all I had to do is tick the box, but now I'm getting pictures every time. I've not done too badly today though. Much better than when BOTGATE was in full flow! My day’s results are below to keep people happy that it is now possible to buy on the SM; just need fast fingers and (apparently) ability to pick out popcorn pictures!

I've also never seen the pics, me and ablender must be more human than most. (Nervous hand controlling mouse perhaps, anyone got any prozac?) Not that it's helped my hit rate, the most successful purchasing day in the last month for me was the day before recaptcha was implemented. Not got anything since! (again, not really trying tho')

Well that makes at least three of us, but perhaps you weren't very human beforehand . I'd virtually given up on the SM since the new website, bot gate, and being away with snail speed internet. However, in the early hours this morning I actually managed to sell and buy my own loan part on an ipad (even more amazing as much slower than lap-top). No pics, managed to see something to try again twice more, and still no pics, but no success either. Be back in the UK soon, so you never know I may actually manage to get next months interest re-invested through the SM! A few more live loans would also help though.

Just wait till the next loan is released, if it's a large loan there will be more than enough parts for sale on the secondary market for everyone.

I hope tombraider is right, but I'm not convinced it will work out so well. I'm reserving judgement until I see what actually happens.

Many of the pipeline loans seem to be £250-500k, which are going to result in £300 for all, and not knock much loose onto the SM. As stated, we need one or more of the large ones to pop out...

But you really ought to discount the 5 which are at stage 0, or maybe stage -1, so actually it's 4 of 7, and the one in the lead at the moment is all of £314k.
