Just for fun while doing other things, I have has SS open since midnight UK time and saw absolutely nothing for sale. Just watching out the corner of my eye, not refreshing. So at 01:30 I put a hundred pounds up just out of curiosity. About 3 seconds flat, gone. That's not just somebody idly watching to see if anything is happening, that somebody getting a refreshed page every second and ready to pounce at 01:30 in the morning. I find that quite extraordinary. PBL20 @ at about 1:25am? - Sorry to disappoint you, but that was no BOT; that was me! I'm a night owl and I'm binge watching Suits on Netflix! I wouldn’t normally invest in negative loans, but I'm still trying to reinvest what was given back to me on the previous two repayments. I’m planning on getting rid of them on Monday when the 2 pipeline loans come through. Anyhow – no bots here  !

I could understand it if things were happening, but it's been dead and they are STILL there with finger poised in the early hours! They must have nearly jumped out of their chair when my hundred quid appeared. This SS lark is causing a little bit of insanity I think. Well, now that I've been thrown out the magic circle I might as well share my ultimate method for beating the recaptcha...... I’ve trained my cat ........  Now testing has been completed, I'm off to PC World to clear their stock of cheap laptops and then onto the cat shelter. You loosers haven’t got a chance  !

Didn't get the loan part though, but practice on the anti-bot techniques revealed above have yielded me my first part for weeks (of something I wasn't actually after, but it does have 70+ days to go).

I've been trying to buy parts I'm not really wanting to hold long-term just to use up the idle cash in my account resulting from the recent redemptions. If I'm successful with some of those purchase attempts and there are a few more loans released, then I hope to be able to sell the extra parts. I don't expect I'm the only person who is trying this approach.

I've just tried using the SM to lend an extra £50 (having transferred in a round £500) and managed to get some with my 3rd attempt. On all 3 occasions I just ticked the "not a robot" box and it let me straight through so presumably the fact I've not tried previously counts in my favour.

One thing I did notice was that sometimes the question refers to street names and sometimes it refers to street signs. That subtle difference has caught me out on occasion.
