Ok so we've all noticed that during the recent bot wars m*************3 seemed to be quite successful in picking up loans left right and centre, and now we are in the captcha era, m*************3 is still being quite successful, well certainly more successful than the rest of us.
Now I'm hoping that this account belongs to SS, and it is being used to place unpaid for loan parts back on the system, and tidying thing up. But if it's someone who somehow is managing to circumnavigate what the rest of us have to go through to pick up loans then I'm going to get the hump.

Are the recent transactions we see on each loan always purchases? There seems to be no differentiation to indicate whether a transaction is a sale. I suspect ony one transaction is shown and that is the purchase. Showing a + or - would put our minds at rest .... or not. I had noticed that m*************3 has hardly lost any momentum in the success rate.
edit: I just sold 7p of Huddersfield and just the one transaction was recorded .... the purchasor was not u no hoo.
I note that m*************3 has been successful in five of the last eight transactions in #60 Wolves, but is fairly selective (with a set £300 "buy"?) elsewhere. Someone isn't having to deal with picture puzzles!

Most loans have m*************3 there in the investor activity panel My guess is that this is saving stream balancing up the books

1) The transactions shown are just the purchases .. I sold some stuff and did not show up.
2) There =are= ways around recaptcha, or at least of speeding up the buying process to cope with the odd picture, which I'm not going to get into, but I suspect at least one user has found some or all of them. If the user really is SS themselves, then I am sure their recaptcha site key came with a bypass (or, if not, they can just configure their server to not worry about it for some subset of users).

With such a lopsided supply/demand balance, I can't think of a good reason why SS would want to be buying up bits on the SM. Why should they tie up their own money in loan parts when there are hoards of investors wanting to buy them? Surely SS would be better off making a few more investors happy by allowing them to be more successful at buying parts. As for m*************3, I expect they are an investor that has either worked out a way around the reCaptcha fence, or has been given special privileges by savingstream.

I have since changed my mind about m***************3 being saving stream. I thought it was savingstream selling investments that had overlapped on user accounts, but I have since learned the activity on the "investor activity" tab indicates only buyers not sellers.

Ok – So I have a “way out there” idea on how m***************3 is hoovering up all these loans………
With the ability to log onto your account with more than one PC, you could have a group of people bidding on the same account (such as m***************3). There are places in India and China with 1000s of people who are paid pennies to do remedial & repetitive tasks on computers or mobiles. With such a simple task of “clicking on property, and invest” even with google reCAPTCHA in full force 10 or 20 people on the same account, bidding on the same loan is going to have a better chance than us.
I’m probably way of the mark, but it does seem feasible

Clearly a 'Flash Boy', hyperfast broadband means he sees the loans come up faster than we do and he can click the robot box an buy the part while our pages are still refreshing.
Takes my superslow broadband a second to refresh & two seconds for Google to decide if I get pictures or not so Ive no chance

Thought I'd register here to stop the conspiracy theories before they really get interesting.
I am Spartacus ,) ... or m***********3.
Contrary to some opinion, I have no special privileges, have not managed to get around the captcha pictures and have never used a bot. When the bots were operating I had no chance of picking up certain loans like others, now it's just fastest finger and who can spot the pizza's and banana's first.
I am picking up as many Saving Stream loans as I can as I move funds from Funding Circle to here. It would be easier to invest the funds using pre-funding, but until the pipeline loans come through the secondary market is the only way of investing here.

Oldgrumpy .... Thanks. Thought folks should know that they are not up against a captcha beating machine or a team of chinese loan part clickers ,) Cooling Dude ... Nice to meet you too ,) ... I don't get all the loans ... need to try harder ,) I guess Saving Stream never guessed that the secondary market would become like the Gunfight at the OK Corral for loan parts ,)
