I'm sad to see the old Zopa forum close. I was one of the first to sign-up (ID 7) and posted just under 2,000 times. I hadn't posted there since September 2014 as - like a lot of others - I had moved to other forums.

I'm wondering about putting your guide to Zopa Borrower fees into Elljays first post on the Resources section of the Zopa Board, can I ask if that is still maintained or was it a snap shot of the fees as they stood at that time?

Strewth, the closing of the forum comes as a big surprise to me.
Yes I'm another who used to be active on the forum but started to withdraw from zopa when safeguard came in and I found myself reduced to 'late night fishing trips' with £10 bait. As a newbie (many years ago) the presence of the forum gave me the confidence to get started and was a great resource to understand exactly how things worked. I wonder how many P2P newbies will (unless they find this forum) be slightly discouraged being confronted with marketing info but no contact with 'real people'?
OK times change and this forum has become a great resource (really pleased now that FC closed their forum ... many thanks to those that set up this forum!) but reading about the closure of the zopa forum made me dig back into my records ..... lots of listings and then my first 'order' £500 A36 7.4% ...... how times have changed!

Good question. We take an XML data feed from Zopa (every hour) and this data feed is live. We then process the data in order to produce the page you see today.

Hi all, A number of users expressed an interest in accessing data from the Zopa Forum, so we have created a Read Only link that will allow users to access this information over the next two weeks until the end of February. Read Only Zopa Forum link - zopatemp.ipbhost.comWe hope this helps you access any information or links that you might like to use in the course of your lending. Thanks, Mat You listened and you did something. Well done.

If I was Zopa I would worry about lenders being inspired to find this forum and as a result putting their money on other platforms.

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but is there any way, technically, that individual threads from the Zopa forum can be imported to this forum? For example, it would be quite useful to have the "Beta Test New Loan Book" and "My Loan Book" threads. From a legal point of view, there may be some issues, although as it's a public forum, I wouldn't have thought these would be too difficult to resolve.

Like many others, I've had my zopa loan book in run-off for quite some time now... I'm one of the others. I did get the "we're going to close the Forum" email, so I guess I must have made a contribution in the past few months. I still have a fair amount invested at Zopa, so I log into my account a few times a month and withdraw the built-up repayments. Reading about the new version of MLB, I decided to look at it this week for the first time in a long time. I was horrified by what I found! I turned re-lending (ATU) off and started withdrawing almost exactly two years ago. When I looked at MLB, however, I found that I have over 100 loans that I 'acquired' in Aug/Sep/Oct of 2015! I'll obviously be writing to Zopa immediately to complain about this, but my question for the forum is whether this is a known problem, or whether I've been singled out for this incredible system failure. If it isn't a known problem, I'd suggest that anyone who has been withdrawing and hasn't been watching their loan book ought to check to see whether they might be a victim as well. If it is a known problem, what has Zopa's response been? Welcome one and all to any posters transferring over here Yes, indeed. A warm welcome from me, too.

Just checked mine for the first time in over a year. Nothing amiss.

I'll obviously be writing to Zopa immediately to complain about this, but my question for the forum is whether this is a known problem, or whether I've been singled out for this incredible system failure. Hello Mike, No, sorry to disappoint you, you haven't been singled out, yes, it is a known problem and yes, you were right to be horrified! There is a thread on the old Zopa forum "My Loan Book" started by ZopaTash in August 2015 with the following comments: <"We would like to make you aware of an administrative change that will be made to a small selection of micro-loans this month for technical reasons. The changes have no adverse impact on borrowers or lenders. You will see the affected micro-loans in your Loan Books as having closed and immediately re-opened. The borrower interest rates displayed against these loans will be reduced, by a maximum of 0.1%. We have adjusted the loan servicing fees (that are not currently shown in the Loan Book) on these loans, so all lenders continue to earn the same rates on each loan. Our team is working on updating the loan books so they display accurate lender interest rates."> If you have time, I recommend you have a look at the thread and I think my comment #16 raised some pertinent questions. I ended up with approx. 1500 duplicated loans. One of the issues was that when the loans were closed and reopened, they were not necessarily closed with 100% repayment, often leaving a couple of pence short. In Sept or Oct, Zopa made a capital payment as compensation for this shortfall, in my case amounting to about £30. I queried how this was accounted for because the figure for all time total repayments was never amended and the loans in question still show less than 100% repaid. However, in the New Loan Book, these loans are shown as closed and nothing outstanding but still only 99.9x% repaid. The closed ones do not appear in "My Current Loan Book", just in "My All Time Loan Book". If you were not aware of it at the time, you will now see in "My Current Loan Book" a number of these loans that were re-opened in Aug/Sept/Oct 2015, so to you they would look like newly acquired loans. And you will see the duplication (both the closed loan and the re-opened loan) in "My All Time Loan Book". I was a bit surprised they were no comments from you at the time as a well known and respected ZopaHolic , but now I understand why not. I hope this helps. Elgerod

I've been waiting for the sighting of a well-dressed squirrel Maybe she's hibernating. Hope she makes it across the great divide, not really Zopa without a squirrel to keep us up to date, and Zopa on their toes.

If I was Zopa I would worry about lenders being inspired to find this forum and as a result putting their money on other platforms. I rather suspect that anyone still using the forums was well aware of the other platforms.
