As a proud new owner of a shadow account, I'm expecting to receive a settlement request for for C****** wind turbine very soon now, based on the latest drawdown update. However, I'm paranoid that I may not get it because it's rejected by my ISP's spam filter, or some other glitch.
Anyway, I thought I'd ask:
1. Has anybody got their request yet?
2. Could somebody post when they do?
3. Do folk agree it would be a good idea for somebody to post on this thread whenever a settlement request is made on any loan? There's no need for more than one post. As soon as one lender posts, we all know. It's belt and braces for those of us with shadow accounts, and also tells everybody that the loan should be on the aftermarket soon.

samford71 reported this yesterday in the Drawdown dates thread: I just got request to settle my shadow bid for wind turbine
"Dear Lender, We are progressing towards draw down on Auction 77. We expect draw down to take place on the 21st April 2014. Please take this email as a notification to settle your shadow-bid(s).
I've been asked to settle Northampton 81 ready for drawdown 30 April (we know what AC forecasts on drawdown are like, but better pay up!)

I'm looking forward to seeing some wind turbine parts in the AM soon. Must make sure my AutoInvest setting for that loan is appropriate and there's some cash available in my account so that AI actually can do something when the time comes.

I've had a phone call today asking me to settle #84 K*** Bridging Loan. No email. I assume this means drawing down sooner than expected?

There may be no need for any action at all. If you have money in your holding account ready to nab some of those elusive AM parts via Autoinvest, it will be simply taken. You may miss out on those autoinvest parts, of course ....

I take it there have been no requests for shadow bids to be paid on Y*******e, Ab or WSM? Y*******e was requested weeks ago, Ab no. Don't know about WSM.

I shall be away next week and wanted to check how much I should put in my account to cover "expected" drawdowns. Despite outstanding loan auctions going back as far as February, everything apart from the still live N. Lothian is "drawdown expected or possible" next week following multiple failed and extended date changes week after week. I'm not slamming in the whole lot just to find half of them still take another month!!!

Settlement requests for Burnley Wind were sent this afternoon, with drawdown expected by the end of the week. And thanks to everyone that snapped up my AM offerings

The Shadow bid system is telling me to settle North Lothian Wind Turbine. IN EDIT Pikestaff has just said to ignore this shadow bid message. Thanks pikestaff!

I'm guessing you are new to shadow bids? So was I until very recently.
The system asks you to settle as soon as the auction closes. Ignore it. There is no need to settle until you get the email (or sometimes phone call) asking you to do so.
I would add (although I have made the same mistake myself) that shadow bidding on a big loan like North Lothian may not be the best use of your shadow bid capacity. There is sure to be plenty of this one available from underwriters on the aftermarket. Shadow bidding is ideal for the smaller loans which might otherwise be hard to get.

Thanks for the advice, I was just wondering when you said that, "Why did I put so many shadow bids in when there's piles of u/wers supporting this?" Then I remembered I was playing with a new toy... and it was the last of the 'April' Cash-back loans.

Yes, cash back makes it better - as long as draw down is reasonably quick!

Many loans potentially drawing down this week. Any updates from Shadowland welcome during the week.
