I can vividly remember the famous Brian Johnstone quote
"The Bowlers holding the batsmans Willey"
Even funnier when the capitals are in the right place!
Streakers used to be common place and I remember one where he didn't quite manage to jump over the wickets cleanly. I'm sure richie benaud make some classic quip like the bails are off.
The original and genuine

Sure, Covid-19 is bad now, but in the future it will be a real boon for bingo callers.

Two Essex girls go out to a posh restaurant for an evening meal. The first girl looks at the menu and then asks her friend "venison, is that deer?" Her friend looks at her and says "yeah, it is a bit expensive"

Reminds me of my Bikie days, on the back of my helmet I had printed, "I'm OzBoy the lover, after me there is no other."Great days, hooning around on a motorbike with hair down yer back, drinking & partying with loads of ladies, imbibing substances - them's were the days! Then I went Surfie, still more of the same though.

My wife was in the kitchen cooking breakfast when I heard a loud thud, I ran in and she was on the floor, not breathing. I was in a panic, just did not know what to do. Then I remembered, Weatherspoons does an all day breakfast for £3.99

Damn fine value too.
Seems fashionable to denigrate Wetherspoons, but they fill a niche, and are very good at it.
Lotta Snob Value in stating, "Oh, I don't DO Wetherspoons!"

Lotta Snob Value in stating, "Oh, I don't DO Wetherspoons!"I don't "do" Wetherspoons because the beer is , the food is , and the service... let's call it lackadaisical. And I loathe Tim Martin. If that makes me a snob then guilty as charged.

If that makes me a snob then guilty as charged. There's a Wetherspoons in town, but I don't drink there a lot. I always get the impression that if you walk in with one person at the counter and 2 serving staff, you still can't get a drink.

Well, wot can I say? Me and my other tight fisted Aussie mate visit the local Wetherspoons every Monday night for a few V decent Guinnesses (Guinnii? ), an undoubtedly microwaved but nonetheless perfectly acceptable curry, always served by friendly, helpful and plentiful staff. Lke all pubs, conditions will vary?

You'd be lucky to reach the bar with carpets that sticky. Happy to read your positive experience ozboy though (I think it's "guineas" btw) .

Paddy went round to Micks farm the other day as he hadn’t seen him for some time. He heard a funny noise coming from the barn and went to investigate. There was his mate Mick straddling the engine of his tractor. Paddy says “What the hell are ye doin’ Mick?”. So Mick says, “O’ive been ‘avin’ trouble wit me missus lately, ’n’ she won’t have anythin’ to do wit me. So I went to a Terapist and she told me, Oi need to do sumthin’ to attractur”.
