Is the site down for anybody else? Yap, 500 errors and lots of rather hypnotic circles going round and round for me. edit: Ooh, but I'm in now. Guess the hamster is having a slow start to the week.

My "current accrued interest" has decreased by £60-£70 overnight, but my "your total investment" hasn't increased by even one penny - no interest has been applied to any of the loans that I'm lending on today. Does anybody on here have any idea why that would happen and be right or does it sound like something's gone wrong?

Same for me in that my accrued interest has gone down in my Ifisa account. Also no balance statements from reports for the last three day for Standard accounts.

I have lost about £120 in interest since Sunday and it is still missing. Capital is still the same jut a drop in accrued.

chris is there a known problem re: current accrued interest decreasing for no apparent reason in the past couple of days?

chris is there a known problem re: current accrued interest decreasing for no apparent reason in the past couple of days? I'm not aware of any specific issues (well now I am, but I haven't had chance to investigate!). Accrued interest is just an indication of what's been theoretically earned but not yet paid, it's a guide only and is recalculated each day from scratch rather than storing a number and adding a little bit on to it as each day passes. It's likely that a loan has a slightly broken repayment schedule that's already been reported and is being looked into by the rest of the team, and that this has thrown out an incorrect interest payment somewhere, and that has broken the calculation. That kind of thing would always be fixed before an actual payment is made, and as the payment is distributed with a fresh calculation (i.e. not at all reliant on the accrued interest figure) as soon as it's fixed the money would be correctly distributed. That accrued interest calculation has been slowing down more recently due to the volume of trades the access accounts and diversification algorithm on the other automated accounts generate. When calculating who is owed what the system has to track backwards through who owned what for during the period for which interest is being calculated. More trades means more steps it has to go through to calculate that leading to a slow down. That slow down may be causing a particular loan to time out or otherwise have an issue. Many of those trades are intra-day and can therefore be ignored for interest calculations so we're planning to build a new index through the data to skip ownership that is irrelevant for that day by day interest calculation. That'll massively speed up the calculation but is a bid fiddly to implement and would require a lot of testing, so hasn't quite made the top of the team's to do list yet. Whatever the underlying cause I'll make sure the team are investigating and working on a fix as soon as is practical.

Yes, my total investment figure has not changed for some time and it normally does. The wheel has definitely stopped turning..........

chris is there a known problem re: current accrued interest decreasing for no apparent reason in the past couple of days? From our initial investigations it looks like it was some housekeeping that caused the figure to drop. Previously there were some repaid loans that were still being included in the accrued interest figures, so it's the older figures that were wrong and the currently displayed figure that is correct. I've asked the guys to keep investigating to double check that is the sole cause but suspect that explains the drop.

I've had a buy order activated for 24 hours with plenty of availability and absolutely nothing seems to be happening. These algorithms may be very clever and all that regarding allocations, but they often behave like dinosaurs . Can't things be speeded up a bit ? This happens repeatedly and must be costing AC business. Any newbie could easily be forgiven for assuming that there is a serious issue and be deterred from investing and that's surely the last thing that AC wants. I know you're busy chris , but if there's a solution to this , it's got to be worth prioritising and pursuing.

lobster Interesting you say that. I've just been trying to put a few £s in the 30DAA and it was showing me as number 15384 in the queue, with that queue position not moving. Used Livechat. They said they'd talk to the IT department. Queue has subsequently dropped to ... 15383
Considering how many years AC have been established, their software has always struck me as a little lacking, more what one might expect from a start-up

I've had a buy order sitting on #801 for approx 30 hours now - over £400k availability at 1% discount, which the system really isn't keen on me buying. Raised with CS earlier, who at length said it should buy soon, but get in touch with us on Monday if it hasn't. Not ideal!

One suspects that there has been a tsunami of cash in to the access accounts and the hamster is working flat out buying 5p of every loan for 50,000 accounts, so expect everything to be really slooow.

Bizarrely, I can report something akin to the opposite of the reported failures to buy.
Yesterday I deleted a buy order on #110, only to discover that the system had bought a further £11.21 of it…… at 08:55 this morning.

Can't think of a P2P platform other than Assetz that supports automated buy and sell orders with discounts, so the most advanced by a long way in this regard. All pervasive yocto pence, slow performance, and tedious reporting are however not strong points.
