40+ minutes on from my previous post and I'm still at position 15383 in the 30DAA is still 15383 (edited)
Comparisons with other platforms - I sold £1000s out of FC recently, took about 20 minutes. I'm sure they have many times more loans and more lenders than AC, yet managed to reallocate that quickly
As to "Can't think of a P2P platform other than Assetz that supports automated buy and sell orders with discounts" ( Steerpike ) - possibly because the bigger platforms no longer allow manual allocation.

40+ minutes on from my previous post and the queue depth on 30DAA is still 15383 (accept N could have been processed with same number arriving)

After trying to do various things in the last 30 minutes or so on the platform, it is my professional opinion that the hamster has finally packed it in and has instead stuffed its cute little cheeks with cash from the till and trotted over to the Ratesetter playwheel to disengorge itself.

During some routine maintenance work one of the developers turned off a handful of background services and then forgot to turn them back on. They'll all on now and the system is catching up with itself. Our Amazon AWS migration is scheduled for the end of this month which will bring a lot more processing power to the system. We are also systematically rewriting each part of the system that is causing a bottleneck, the aftermarket is high on this list. It had already been rewritten but we found some hard to debug race conditions that needed fixing before it could be released (asynchronous programming is hard!), and a few other tasks overtook it in priority in the interim.

Today I noticed a dashboard discrepancy between my invested and lent totals. As I suspected there is now a Q for the QAA - one of my nanopence of interest payments is Q'd behind £32k. The current total amount invested is £51,573,376, I haven't been paying AC's QAA much attention for some while, but it seems a rather odd amount for a cap so is this a bug like the one that affected the 30 day access account?
There's still some time before the bonus offer expires, will this cause a problem for those expecting a Christmas Cracker?

The AC hamster seems to have been on a go-slow since Friday. Many fewer transactions than usual on my accounts. Perhaps he's got wind that he's being replaced by a new turbo-hamster by the end of the month!

chris looks like one of your services has been turned off, or crashed again.

Is that normal? It takes around 14 hours to cycle through all the loans, that then places aftermarket trades into an async queue for processing - something that normally takes a couple of minutes at most. That queue is currently at 7 hours due to congestion in the database (concurrency locking is a pain in services like this) but is catching up with itself so the queue is getting shorter all the time but it'll take a few hours to shrink back to zero as new trades are still being added all the time. I'm keeping an eye on it but yes there's some delays and I'm not surprised that some orders from yesterday have yet to be processed. We're actively working on better solutions to speed everything up from hardware upgrades, optimisation of existing software, to rewriting some software from scratch but this will take time. We'll try to make the changes incrementally so that things steadily improve.

Apparently it was down for a couple of hours overnight due to an incorrect configuration change during the hosting migration but it was resolved earlier this morning and is catching up with itself.
