Somewhat off topic, but Santander has just "improved" their website. It has some of the same characteristics: lots of scrolling just to see what used to be easily on the screen. Has some manipulative salesman done a bargain dodgy job on web design packages? Aaaaaaghhh! Who are all those people asking for everything bigger? (as Santander says). This must all be to do with tablets which make scrolling easier. Santander resizes nicely in portfolio, again a tablet thing. So thats the answer people, turn your screen on its side & get touchy feely. (Laptop users fraid your going to have to learn to type sideways)

"Ahh, I've fathomed it out. There's over 200K in 5 yr market at 6.2% or less when yesterday 6.3% was flying out the door. It obviously works much better if you are willing to offer lower rates. "
It would certainly appear that money is coming in faster than it's going out. I wonder what could be causing that!

Is it not a known factor that the colour purple encourages people to take higher risk. We know the colour blue encourages 'conservative' actions and I think this maybe the reason RS change the website design. You may well find that if the investor money supply slows down again the website will change to red logos and text ensuring we all sell every asset we own (grannies included) to invest the whole shooting match on the RS platform.

Yes, it's awful. Very bright, jumbled up, difficult to navigate and I can't find the log-out button (maybe it's white on white somwhere). Tried F5 etc., makes no difference. This on my laptop version (Vista, IE9). Fortunately I can navigate the website on my tablet but don't like it. Westonkev, please see if they can go back to how it was. Sorry, those brand boys are very proud of the new web site. Unlikely to disappear anytime soon....

I think Westonkev is either hiding under a flat rock some-place, or else has defected to Zopa?! 8>. Hmm, maybe the new RS website was sponsored by, and designed by, one of their competitors. That'd explain a lot, wouldn't it. At least all my stored links seem to work, so if they broke that they must have fixed it, but the graphics design (misusing the word, loosely) remains terrible on every machine, OS, and browser I've tried so far. I have been hiding. I do Risk, the Marketing boys (and girls) do brand. Wouldn't dream of telling them how to do their job.... However they are reading this forum comments....

Either we've studied colour psychology and are using every trick to make people take higher risks (people turn left in shops!), or Rhydian is just a big Prince fan....

So come on westonkevRS, how about a bit of feedback to us loyal lenders from inside RS as to what the hell you think you are doing with this naff naff naff implementation. Did someone really think that we would like it? I'm not gonna even try to say if it's better from a brand perspective, or if it will attract more lenders or borrowers. I would agree the text is large with a lot of spacing, but apparently this slimmed down look without clutter is preferred by the majority. The business will analyse the traffic and "customer journey" to see how the statistics change..... As a lender, the functionality and page layout is almost identical. So I don't really mind. And I'm sure given a few months we'll have all have forgotten how it used to look....

When will it be finished?
Presume it's still in beta format?

'Preferred by the majorityy' westonkev ... that'd be the silent majority I assume, coz I can only find one or two of them posting here.
On the upside, you got mentioned in the P2P blog, so it ain't all bad news.

Sorry, those brand boys are very proud of the new web site. Unlikely to disappear anytime soon.... Well those brand boys and girls need a damn good sacking, and they can take their ever so sophisticated but useless in practice graphics with them. Perhaps we could give the job to the work experience party from the local primary school after all.

Sorry, those brand boys are very proud of the new web site. Unlikely to disappear anytime soon.... I can relate to this in previous employs - brand boys will have been out for a drink with the bosses and convinced them something needs to be done, £££££s later the new product is produced and in true "Emperor's Clothes" fashion no one dares say "Hang on guys is it actually any better than do nothing?" Anyone who dares criticise will be branded difficult and resistant to change, when it all goes tits up the old impossible-to-disprove excuse 'preferred by a majority' is trotted out Jack P

Please can the majority who like the new design speak up,
and tell those of us who do not like it, what it is about the new site that you like.
You are being very quiet.
Perhaps you could help us grumpy old dinosaurs appreciate the beauty and practicality that at the moment is completely lost on us.
Perhaps you can tell us why it is so great to first off see lots of useless stuff that is always the same, and only have the important stuff that changes and which we want to see revealed to us when you have scrolled the damn page.
Far from encouraging me to put more money in, the new design is encouraging me to put it elsewhere.
Is RS not interested in my money?
What am I missing?
Why cannot I see what is so great about it?
Am I stupid, or just not very sophisticated, or perhaps just too old to "get it"
But then again I would have thought that us grumpy old dinosaurs were actually much more likely to have some dosh lying around that we have to do something with, than all the young hip with it things who probably think that the new site is ever so "cool", perhaps even "awsome".
yuck yuck yuch .......

It is clear that the new site has been redesigned for easier use on touch screens.
Little buttons work well with accurate pointing devices but less so with fat fingers.
I was an early adopter of the tablet with the iPAD 1 but after some years and various devices I now often find hand held devices tiresome and when at home I prefer the PC with large screen, fast processor, wired network, good sound, proper multitasking, multiple overlapping/resizable/repositionable windows, and accurate mouse.
There used to be separate sites for mobile but now that tablets and phone have larger screens and some PCs have touch screens the obvious solution is to provide a single site for all clients. Given the overwhelming trend towards handheld devices that is where the design will go, and perhaps this may also lead to a decline in APPs.
Oh and yes I preferred the previous design.
