Has anyone else had problems with not being able to see that Zopa is doing essential maintenance today (28/9) I've been having issues the getting messages that i may have a cookies issue on chrome but in reality clearing them does not make any difference. The Issue again is that Zopa. Eventually i had to load up another browser to see the message, In reality the message only appeared when i changed the screen size - an old issue with Zopas mish mash of code for both mobiles and computers that still does not work correctly!. Oh well they are working on it. The banking side seems to work ok it's the P2P stuff that is failing with cookies issues according to the messages received after loading both STD and ISA screens. The message I get at some levels is Thing is its been like this all day for me so not sure what shortly means.

Looking a bit to me as if ZOPA is close to collapse. Given that banks are lending at very low rates, why would anyone want to use our money, plus a markup, when they could get a bank loan. I've stopped any re-lending and pulling cash out.
I think this signals the end of P to P lending - and zopa bless their socks have been very careful in the way they've run it - no dodgy deals like lendy - but I think they've had their time.

No money from the debt sale yet. I’m fairly sure I had some money from the debt sale soon after the email about it.

Same Although it might not be obvious unless you keep a regular eye on the various totals. The most obvious place to see it is in the recoveries part of the statement (mine was showing much higher than normal). Of course you'll only see money from the debt sale if you had loans that have been sold in that sale.

Oops, Mrs Aju has lost access to her Fixed Term Savings accounts again, Both were there yesterday and looked correct but today (last 5 minutes or so when i checked) they have gone again!. This is getting worse and the loanbooks are still not available, also looks like P2P returns are down on the month but i'm guessing they will appear at some point. My instinct is still that they are hot fixing one thing and breaking another. I wonder how long it will be before the FCA steps in! (Probably won't even notice!) Message says above the Dashboard today say's No they are not! ....

Yes, my fixed term savings products have disappeared from the app today.
I may be turning green and ripping my shirt off if this is not fixed by Monday when my wife has a product maturing and Wednesday for mine.

Am i being a bit thick, but isn't the whole point of a stress test to try and break the system. So how they can they say they were not expecting a serious impact and were unable to forewarn us?

Am i being a bit thick, but isn't the whole point of a stress test to try and break the system. So how they can they say they were not expecting a serious impact and were unable to forewarn us? A very reasonable question, but an organisation might, for example, experience peak utilisation of Y and so size their system 2 x Y and then stress test at 1.5 x Y. 1.5 x Y is a really quite significant 50% higher than their previously experienced peak utilisation but still 25% lower than what their system should in theory be able to handle before 'breaking'. Figures are illustrative, but hopefully get the concept across. That's not to say organisations don't deliberately break their primary systems. They do. Or they should do in order to test failover and recovery arrangements, as well as for contingency planning and disaster recover, etc, etc.

Am i being a bit thick, but isn't the whole point of a stress test to try and break the system. So how they can they say they were not expecting a serious impact and were unable to forewarn us? As iRobot said it should test that the system can handle a particular load (usually somewhat higher than a normal peak) ideally without falling over, and if it does break it should do so in a clean and safe way so that it works again when the load goes away. I would expect any decent business to run their load testing (and any other changes) in a separate environment first before unleashing it on the main production systems. Different businesses work in different ways but some of the following are common environments to have: development, staging, pre-production, testing, hot standby. They probably won't have all of those but should have something that's a close (ideally exact) replica of the production systems so every change can be tested there first. Having dealt with a few IT changes that have broken over the years (and plenty more that worked as planned) I'm struggling to see how a well planned and tested stress test could lead to several days of outage. Assuming something like a pre-prod environment that's a close match to production (and if they don't have something along those lines why not?) then this stress test should have been run there up to (and past) breaking point and the same issue should have shown up there first and could have been fixed before impacting the production systems.

You are not the only one's Mrs Aju has one finishing on Tue (5th) not wholly convinced she will get the money available but I guess they have one full day (Mon) to deal with it. It's our first completion so apart from reading the notes that were available when we could see her savings account not sure how smoothly a close out might be. It's not a small amount either!

The current message suggests savings balances are visible but they’re not. Both the wife and I have very large amounts maturing and we were considering maturing into a new savings product with Zopa but we may have to reconsider.

I had one mature (not during a stress test failure!) that worked fine, funds moved to a holding account from where I could withdraw or re-invest. I think I got an email saying the funds were available.
